We know you love Wyze products, and now we’re offering you an exclusive opportunity to take your experience to the next level! We are looking for passionate Wyze users to join our iOS Beta Program and be among the first to test and provide feedback on new app features before they are officially released.
Why Join the Wyze iOS Beta Program?
Early Access: Get hands-on experience with upcoming app features before they launch to the public.
Influence Development: Your feedback will directly shape the future of Wyze apps and products.
Be Part of the Wyze Community: Join a group of like-minded users who are excited to improve and refine Wyze experiences.
How It Works:
We are recruiting 4,000 iOS users to participate in this round of beta testing.
Once enrolled, you will have access to beta versions of the Wyze app and can provide valuable feedback on performance, usability, and features.
You will need TestFlight to test the Wyze Beta App. Make sure to download it from the App Store if you haven’t already. Once installed, join the Beta Program within the Wyze app, by going to Account > About > Beta Program.
Participation is important! If you do not engage in testing for three consecutive months, you will be removed from the test group to make room for active participants. To participate, simply use the beta app and submit logs whenever you experience issues. It’s as simple as that!
If you’re interested in being a Wyze Beta Tester to help us continue to make too-good-to-be-true products, sign up now! For more details, please check out the Software Testing section of this page.
Thank you for being a valued part of the Wyze community. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts and work together to make Wyze even better!
Is this different from regular Beta that both iOS and Android get? If so, I’m curious why this is only being offered to iOS. If it’s the same, does this mean there aren’t a lot of iOS beta testers?
It seems like the iOS builds have been performing better lately. I know in the past some heavy users (people with lots of devices) expressed there was some lag and freezing issues.
That’s my read. I’m interested in the answer, too, even though I don’t use iOS. Hopefully this will lead to more parity between the platforms for users. It’s frustrating to read when an issue affects iOS users but not Android users and vice versa.
This is the same beta we are doing now. On iOS we have limited spots to do beta testing so every so often we purge the inactive users and do a callout for new testers. On Android we do not have this limitation which is why we never have to do a callout for Android.
So what are you going to be testing? Just app updates? Firmware? I participated in the iOS beta some time ago but found it frustrating because it just kept breaking things. Also, I have very limited hardware available…mostly V3 cameras, some V2s and Pans, some color bulbs but nothing else.
This is mainly to test the iOS app updates. We have limited slots for iOS testing so every so often we purge the inactive testers and do a callout for users who would like to test.
Let me ask someone what to do here, I am not an iOS guy, have not touched iOS in over 10 years. I will try to get an answer though.
