I have a Wyze Cam v3 and until a month ago my Alexa would tell me when there was motion detected in my driveway. It allowed me to play loud music in my bedroom and still be able to come to the door for guests, Or when i fall asleep, Alexa would wake me up if someone came to my house, which i can toggle off during sleep hours using do not disturb settings.
WYZE APP FOR FIRESTICK would offer it for fire tablets which would be cool alternative to the phone. Also make it available for ipad and android tablets. But my bonus feature is dope, check it out…
How great would it be to watch netflix with a little box that comes up in the corner on the tv when motion detection activates wyze app. You could offer it to pro members to incentivize subscription revenue!!!
Please add the Wyze App to the Amazon AppStore and expose to the Windows Android Application store. This would let us use Android-for-Windows to run the entire Wyze App on a desktop machine and would take almost zero effort on your part, once first setup.
Like many i suspect i regularly want to use the wyze app from our laptop and desktop docked personal or work setups while parked in front of them vs always having to have android/ios phone or tablet handy.
This was working fine but with recent updates either to my system specifically, wsa virtual android pixel device session, or the wyze app itself i’ve found the live doorbell cam connection no longer works reliable.
So my wish list is for you folks to add amazon android app store release support for wyze app, so i don’t have to install magisk play store enabled version of wsa, and include running of it on wsa [ windows subsystem for android ] as part of your test matrix.
To further clarify. Since Windows 11 can run applications from the Amazon App Store (some subset), adding it there would allow the Wyze App to be used on any Windows 11 Desktop or Laptop… which would really reduce the need for the web-based live view.
I thought so as well. I just bought a fire hd 8 2022 and today install google play. When I searched for the wyze app it doesn’t come back. I logged into google play web site and after finding the app it said my fire tablet is not compatible.
I will not buy another wyze camera until the wyze app is in the Amazon app store.
I’ve found it remarkably ironic that Amazon sells Wyze. Amazon supports why on Alexa devices. The Alexa app supports Wyze devices. And then There’s no Wyze app in the Amazon tablet library. And finally, no explanation or plan ahead to do it.
I tried Blink, they had a sale on a three pack and all of them failed within two weeks. That is how I found out about Wyze cameras. At any rate, if Amazon is the reason the app hasn’t been ported to Amazon’s app store then Wyze should say so and I wouldn’t hold it against them and I may buy more cameras.
Amazon sells Wyze products! I’ve been told that it would take rewriting the code (even though Amazon’s Fire OS is based on Android), and there aren’t enough Fire tablets to make it worth it. Plus the updates for both Wyze and Fire OS.
The Wyze app can still be loaded onto an Amazon Fire Tablet. Just use a browser to go to APKmirror and then search for, download and install the Wyze app that way.
It would be nice to have it in the Amazon store still, but there are some workarounds in the meantime.
I am not familiar with APKmirror.
Can you please give me a step-by-step procedure for doing this.
I have tried for about an hour and have failed.
Thanks,
