@WyzeJasonJ Here are my log numbers on my “Micro SD Card Not Found” Error.
1445303
1445310
New cameras bought March or April. One other one I bought at same time works fine. It may be the one I bought directly from Wyze. Not sure. Two were bought at Home Depot at the same time period.
Thanks.
My biggest issue is with the Wyze video doorbell v2 and Google Home integration. Turning on “Voice notifications” on Google home for the doorbell gives me a notice for ANY event on the doorbell which is not good.
I REALLY want to be notified if someone PRESSES the doorbell. This does not work. It will only give notifications for EVERYTHING or nothing.
@WyzeJasonJ - My previously reported issue of unable to view Cam Pan v3 SD footage from events on the Events tab and events from notifications is resolved as of yesterday on all 7 of my Cam Pan v3 cams.
Resolution was not an automatic process on the backend such as that for Cam v3, but I’ll assume that the same or similar backend change finally fixed the service associated to the Wyze app’s Reset Services feature/button (Wyze app Home > your Cam Pan v3 > Settings > Reset Services/Reset button). Tapping the Reset button on one cam immediately resolved the issue. Three cams required 2 attempts and restarts. The other cams took 5-10 attempts and restarts over the course of a day.
This problem has been resolved as of yesterday I believe. Both cameras are now able to access the sd card from view. Thank you so much for addressing this issue.
Please fix issue with OG cams not being able to be added as a chime to Doorbell v2. People are either getting an unsuccessful/operation failed message, Or it is saying that the camera was successfully added when you try to, but then it does not appear in the list of connected devices.
Are these actually the same issue? I notice that your previously reported issue is about the greyed-out/inactive Playback button on the Events tab, but the post you quote seems to be about the “Unable to View Playback” issue that prompts a user to insert a microSD card even when one is already present within the camera. (I realize @Antonius describes different verbiage, and I wonder if that’s due to the UI differences between the Cam v3 and Cam Pan v3, the latter of which is what I have.)
I’m trying to figure out if I should be optimistic about a fix for my problematic Cam Pan v3. I’ve tried several Restart and Reset operations and even power-cycled the camera today, but the Events Playback issue that I described above persists for now. I’ll try repeating those operations again later today.
Hi @Antonius, I’m a bit confused here. The issues of “Playback of SD Card Does not Work” and “Unable to View Playback” seem to be getting intermingled in these posts. I have/had both issues with my V3 cameras and am wondering if BOTH issues are now fixed. Can you comment on whether you had both issues and if they are both now fixed. Also, how was this fix facilitated? Updating to new firmware?
Yeah, I read it. I’m just trying to understand whether they’re all part of the same root issue. They seem to be (microSD card not recognized, Playback button greyed-out, affecting Cam v3s and Cam Pan v3s), but I haven’t seen any official acknowledgement from Wyze that ties them all together. (I’m trying to get my to assimilate the many different topics I’ve read and to understand whether they’re the same or separate issues.)
Like I said, multiple times today. I’ll keep at 'er. Thanks for the response!
Edit: @iyell4, this is one of the things I’m also trying to understand. I’m perversely glad I’m not the only one confused.
For CPv3, they aren’t the same. My grayed out playback button was resolved in a production firmware update late last year. The microSD card not recognized popup when trying to view SD footage from an event must have been fixed yesterday or the day before, but it’s not an automatic fix. I.e., you need to initiate the fix action via the Reset Services button and restart. And you may need to do that more than once per cam.
Try this… Hit the Reset > access SD from live stream > restart cam > access SD from live stream > access SD from event. That’s what I did all day yesterday.
I restarted all cams this morning and checked to make sure everything was still working. They were. Then I did powercycles on all CPv3 cams and rechecked. All 7 are still working great. Finally! They’ve been whacked since last year.
I had the issue of not being able to playback the SD recordings from the events page on the app on my newest V3. I never had the grayed out playback button issue. I did nothing to fix the issue, it just started working yesterday. I think WYZE deployed their temporary fix but I have no proof of that.
@sodcam went underground like a (gopher? vole? mole? not sure which never had any so not sure what sod disappeared most like) since a while. I miss him, he’s earthy.
I tried that sequence several times with no change in my results. If I don’t repeat it again later, then I’ll just wait to see what the Restart and Reset Rule does tomorrow.
