There have been a lot of posts in the forum lately about problems with the timelapse feature on the cameras (Just reporting an increased pattern I’ve noticed to help those experiencing it).
For the last year or so on clear nights I have been taking time lapse videos of the night sky.
The recording time I set varies but the videos were always around 1GB ish in size.
Recently the time lapse videos I have been taking are now around 500-600MB in size and the quality of the videos seem to be worse than before.
The camera is set to recode in HD as it has always been.
Did something change with time lapse recordings?

I’m an intern indirectly with NASA and I’ve been working on a certain project using two v2 Wyze Cams to record a time lapse of our plants growing (set to every hour) on the 32 GB MircoSD card.

I have 2 outdoor camera v2’s setup in my garden and yesterday I tried to capture a 12 hour timelapse on both of them. I ran into a couple issues with this:

So I’ve tried doing the time lapse thing 4 times already and every time I set it it says something like “time lapse is set to end at [time, date, etc]” and when I later check the album after the end time had passed nothing shows up. I tried waiting to see if it would show up later and it never dose. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some extra step that’s not listed to make this work? I am at a loss. Hi. I never had this before, but now my Wyze Cam Outdoor Time Lapse is downloading but not playing. The connection is good, also live view works perfect, and I’m on same Wifi and I can really download all the time lapse footage fast, but when i want to play, it shows an empty video paused at 00:00 and not playing. I’ve deleted cache, then all data then re-installed the app, also granted permission for storage and location. I’ve also tried same on another device and same problem. Can anybody hel…

Timelapse videos still show in album but will no longer download to phone for viewing. When i click to download nothing happens, before the issues there was a download progress shown. This is the same on all 24 cameras i have. Any idea why they all stopped working?
