Join our two-week beta test for an all-new Descriptive Alert feature that provides more detail about what your Wyze Cam sees. Instead of a simple “Person,” “Pet,” or “Package,” you’ll receive an AI descriptive note so you can decide at a glance if you need to view the footage.
Once enrolled, watch for the new Descriptive Alert icon in both the Event page and your Account tab in the Wyze app. The first group of testers will be notified by email that they have been selected.
We want your honest feedback on the accuracy of these descriptions. Don’t hold back—share fun ideas for improvement, and let us know if you spot any quirks.
We will be checking this thread often for your feedback!
App version required (feature will only show to those selected)
iOS 3.2.8 (9)
Android 3.2.8 (b604)
It definitely hasn’t launched yet. They’ve been teasing about this CUPro all year long since spring time and I have been keeping close tabs on it. I was hoping they’d launch it during Wyze week, but it didn’t make the cut.
I’m pretty sure they will just do this public beta similar to the AI Video Search public beta (which feature will also eventually be limited to Cam Unlimited Pro). For that, people just submitted their account email in a Google Form or something and they manually enabled those accounts to test it out. This one is being done in a very similar way, so I expect they will add something like this again for us to ask to be white-listed temporarily. We’ll very likely lose both of those features eventually since they appear to be some of the new things that will be limited to CUPro, but I’ll probably subscribe to that new one anyway as long as it’s reasonably priced.
I’m pretty sure Wyze will post somewhere for us to submit our account emails, non-publicly, soon and that they just forgot to include the link.
I’m in the same boat. I have grown my ecosystem with Home Assistant, but still rely on Wyze for cameras. So cam unlimited is a must but I don’t really need emergency services.
I would love to see my cameras properly integrated into Home Assistant!
ok so I’ve been a little bit sneaky, I was told about this a while ago and my first thought was home Monitoring, if instead of sending video to someone they could at least alert the emergency dispatch for home monitoring service subscribers as to what someone was wearing or if they were carrying a weapon or something like that or how many people there are ( if it is capable of counting and stuff) That would be a huge boon. And on top of ai searching this is something that might also be able to be wrapped into that. So the searching might get better as well ( i hope)
that is the reason this could tie into so many things I believe
That describes generative Ai LLM integrations in Home Assistant, if I wanted it. Quite comical if using naughty Chatgpt etc., and I don’t really need it…
I’m at the point of just running Ethernet cables and POE cams that “are” compatible.
There be a place for Wzye cams looking out windows and other outdoor spots though.
So is Unlimited Pro extra over normal Unlimited?
What if I already have both Unlimited Cam Plus, AND the home monitoring service? Now I have to get something more?
Currently, users who have not already been selected cannot join, we will have a way soon. Users who have been selected will receive an email stating they were.
Hey @WyzeJasonJ , looks like I have been selected already and pushed into Cam Unlimited Pro without receiving an email or granting Wyze permission to do so. This is not acceptable behaviour from Wyze. As much as I like to help out with beta releases, being forced into it without permission leaves me no choice but to demand to be removed from testing Wyze Intelligence - Descriptive Alerts Beta.
Wyze’s action have prompted me to jump through hoops to figure out what was happening to my account as is evident by this thread:
Once again, please restore my account the way it was and if you want me to test the feature have a decency to ask for it.
