Wyze Cam v3 Now Available! - 10/27/20

It’s the middle of November, any indication when these are going to be shipping?

Mine has been changed to December but because of new lockdowns I think FedEx, UPS and USPS are rethinking their delivery options right now.

Agree. No problems with mine but I want to reorder, and can’t. :frowning_face

This V3 cam is now outdoor rated with the optional plug. But unlikely the battery powered outdoor cam (WCO) will be updated anytime soon since it just came out this past summer.

What type of technology are you referring to?

I took your word that the discount logic for pre-orders is “a little funky” - however now i’ve received an ad from Wyze that shipping is free on all orders above $99…including the pre order V3. Can you please explain this? I just put an order in for $212 for a client that I am installing this system for a little over a week ago, that apparently would have qualified for this promotion, and nothing has shipped yet.
Do I need to cancel my pre-orders and then re order them to qualify for this?

Yes, should I cancel my order of 6 V3’s for over $145 and re-order them to get the free shipping?

It is interesting, and this applies to myself as well, that we can be satisfied or even entirely happy with our purchase, feel it is fair and worth the cost we pay for it, etc. which is evidenced by our willingness to order at the cost we chose to pay for it (if it wasn’t a fair price, we wouldn’t have done the transaction)…many of us even excited for it.

Then something happens to where someone else can get a good deal and we somehow feel cheated and abused…technically they didn’t change our deal that we agreed to, but we humans use thinking errors related to comparing and fairness and feel it is within our rights to implement strategies to reneg on our prior agreement and satisfaction. As I said, myself included, thinking about recent purchases where I paid shipping…

I really had to remind myself that if this particular deal never happened, would I still have thought my previous agreement/transaction was fair and still be excited for it? I agree that yes, I thought it was fair, and that didn’t change…and just remind myself that such compulsive comparisons and such are what destroy my happiness. I’m just going to let it go and remember that I agreed it was a fair price for what I wanted at the time (or I wouldn’t have agreed to it anyway) and if I want more new items, I’ll consider getting some more before this one expires.

It is so hard for me to think that and accept it, but when I emotionally disengage (very hard) and think it out all logically, I really have nothing to complain about. Wyze exactly held to the agreement we came to with all my orders/contracts for those purchases, and I’ll keep my word too. But that’s just me…I imagine it will work to order again now and just cancel, refuse or return the other order to get it refunded and work the loophole. Some can try that, to each their own of course. I’ve just decided I am going to keep my original agreement.

Thanks for the new promotion, I may still take advantage of it with some extra purchases.

My V3 order is showing pick / pack. Should be shipping soon.

I noticed that earlier today too!

My V3 shipped and my headphones are still preorder. NOT good business practice WYZE!!!

There are separate fulfillment centers working on these which is why one shipped and the other didnt.

I mean they could ship by overall order number, but then you’d have no items en route to you, which I imagine would be worse.

Woohoo, just got the shipping email!

Mine has been pushed back to December according to the website. And I ordered early access. I guess as usual I won’t get mine when everyone else does. When am I going to learn to wait for it to be at Home Depot?

I guess it depends on when you ordered & their initial supply. Has it been stated when it will be available at HD?

I ordered it the day it was first announced. So there should not be this constant issue with Wyze. But a rep at Wyze told me that being honest, Home Depot usually has the new releases in stock before EA orders ship out.

Yep my order date shows 10/27 and yet I have a shipment date of December. I’ve always been treated this way with Early Access. To be honest I have no idea why I keep doing early access.

And the point is, if they haven’t started packing my order they should then let me cancel, get my money back and use it for when my Home Depot does have it. I mean I do have a month now according to website. Not even sure why I stick with Wyze with all these issues :frowning:
