Wyze Cam v3 Now Available! - 10/27/20

Hi there, I just want to clarify that the rumor about HD gets new releases before EA is not true, at least not for v3. Your order will be shipped very soon. We are running through the order as quickly as we can. Please stay tuned. Thank you for being a Wyze customer.

I ordered 1 the moment I got the first email on the 10/27. I also ordered another 2 of them on 11/05. Neither order say anything but “Pre-Order - Ships in November”. I paid through my Amazon account.

Looking forward to it, Cheers, Jon

My V3 shipped yesterday and is in transit. It will be here by Monday, if not sooner. Nothing on the headphones yet, that still says pre-order

We place group orders with Amazon all the time and the items often arrive separately and on different days and from different locations. What’s the difference?

Tracking # for Fedex SmartPost created. Probably will reach Fedex Nov 19 night or Nov 20 in Greenwood, IN.

Man, I hate FedEx, they’ve “lost” the last 4 out of 5 of my orders (say they’re delivered, but never deliver them. Then after 2-4 days I have to file a complaint and they MAGICALLY find the order and deliver it a week late. It’s ridiculous. I mean, only 20% correct? Really? And even the ones done right always mark them as delivered before they actually delivered it. I try to get FedEx to find my missing packages, but they refuse to do anything unless the company who sent the package contacts them (then they magically find it. So aggrivating.

Drives me insane. In contrast, Amazon is at like 49/50 correct (one switched packages for me and my neighbor, but we just traded back). and UPS is at 100% correct. FedEx sucks and lies a lot,

Ah well, FedEx it is, so Wyze should probably expect a call from me soon I guess. FedEx always finds the missing stuff eventually when contacted, so no fear there…I’m guessing the delivery guy just steals stuff until a complaint comes in, then magically finds it and doesn’t get in trouble, otherwise just keeps it. Wish they’d listen to me and do an investigation though…or that everyone just switched to using UPS instead.

I saw a video a few weeks ago that someone caught on their doorbell or security camera that showed an Amazon delivery person drop a package, take a photo of the package, then pick the package back up and leave. I guess the plan was to blame the theft on porch bandits.

I still want to cancel my order of the V3 and not being able to do it. As much as I want this cam I really need antibiotics for dental more. :frowning:

Haha. that’s funny. I like that Amazon requires them to take photos like that!

FedEx doesn’t, so the guy can just steal it without ever coming to the house. I have cameras all around my whole house with Person Detection covering everywhere and motion sensors covering the porch, and I work from home sitting right in front of a window facing my front porch so I know he never delivered things and definitely not the times he claimed he dropped them off.

The difference is preorders for the v3 cam started more than a month after preorders for the headphones. why would you make a later product available before a product you made available preorder more than a month before??? Tha is what I call poor business practice. Get one product out then get the next one or do them together

my v3 cam is being shipped usps

Yeah, FedEx and USPS have some kind of partnership, so sometimes packages luckily get processed through USPS instead. I like when that happens (I actually get my packages then!). Sometimes one will move it most of the way and have the other deliver it at the end. It’s not been consistent for me that way. Wish they would require GPS and picture taking confirmation, etc.

My impression in that Wyze is a designer and vendor of their products, not the manufacturer or manufacturers, and sometimes the design is from the ground up whereas other times it is a Wyze modification and enhancement of an existing design already set up for completion by the manufacturer. For those reasons and perhaps others I doubt that Wyze is in a position to control the order in which new products become available for delivery to the ultimate consumer, unless you expect them to sit around doing nothing between final arrival of each finished product and its sale and delivery before starting on their next product.
Correct me if I am wrong, of course.

I agree with your response. In addition, I would add that usually when something goes to pre-order status, it falls under the “Early Access” type of thing. In some ways the product isn’t in fully launched and widely available status. It’s past beta, but not exactly full scale yet…it’s just what I said, “Early Access.” If you want to wait until it is totally stocked and fully ready, then don’t order pre-order items…wait for a few months after Early access works out some of the kinks first.

I bought the scale during early access knowing full well that it was still going to have a lot of development coming. Same thing with the vacuum, we are told it has other things not complete yet (multifloor mapping, etc). Same with these V3’s…they mentioned in the AMA that they are still finishing up things with RTSP, and possibly Edge PD. If you don’t want to deal with such issues, don’t order anything on early access. Wait for a few months first.

Me, I know full well there are often Early Access issues, and beta testing issues, I volunteer for them with full knowledge of what that means. If someone doesn’t like it, then they should take these kinds of launches as something to EVENTUALLY be excited about in a few months after they’re stable and fully in stock, etc.

Any word on v3 supporting battery or solar power accessories? The outdoor cam is very expensive relative to v3

during the AMA Wyze said they were looking into a solar option but gave no timeline for it.

Going round and round about cancelling this order. I need these antibiotics. Ugh This is always such a mess.

My camera was set to arrive yesterday via FedEx no updates since it was in California. Same thing happened 2 years ago with gifts sent back from WA. California has a FedEx sinkhole. So frustrating. It will show up the day before they have to pay for any insurance claim…

I don’t understand why this is such a hassle. I need antibiotics. I have infected gums. I need the money so the infection doesn’t spread. How hard is this. this is a constant issue that I have. Others have cancelled within the past 36 hours with no problems. While I do want the V3 staying alive and taking care of these gums is top priority. Please can’t I get some assistance with this?

Try contacting support direct via e-mail and explain to them your situation. I have never had an issue with support at Wyze and wish all company’s had such good support as Wyze.
