Is there a status dashboard somewhere in the forum that lists the state of critical known issues?
Again, itās be nice if theyād at least say, aware of issues, sorry weāre working on them. It would go a long way with customers. Silence with customers is never good.
One resource Iām aware of is one of the links I suggested in a recent Tips & Tricks post: https://go.wyze.com/servicestatus. I think thatās a good one to bookmark or add to your Forum custom section. That page also has a link to āWyze Software and Firmware Bugs and Known Issuesā in the sidebar. Itās been a while since either of those articles has been updated, though, and I donāt have any insight into how severe an issue has to be in order to qualify for those lists.
Thank you.
I will link that.
Is there anything more current?
I know this is the weekend, and these cams are not critical, but it would be nice to see a notice about major issues. Even just a general, āWe have received reportsā¦ā.
I do understand this is a user-to-user forum. Maybe this is too much to ask and out of scope for this forum?
Often Iāve seen those kinds of things appear as highlighted notes on the Support home page (https://go.wyze.com/help), but Iām not sure what qualifies for that kind of public-facing notice, either, and I donāt know what to expect over a weekend.
True.
Another good link.
Thanks.
Plenty of other social media outlets to address this issue if not in their own website forums.
No crashes for me either on IOS 17.7.1.
Does your iPad Pro 2nd Edition have an 11 inch screen?
My 12.9 inch screen is stuck on IOS 17, but maybe to work with Wyze thatās a good thing.
I understand, but I distance myself from other social media (I understand that is my decision to be left out.)
I am a social vegan.
I dislike meet.
Oh clever play on homophone! I like that!
Iām a sort of semi-introvert.
I donāt mind certain kinds of socializing, but it seems like the larger the gathering gets, the less enjoyable the conversations get as more people start to make it all about stuff I couldnāt care less about jumping from fluff to fluff every 5 seconds. I can have more real conversations when there are fewer loud people and fewer constant distractions and people caring more about attention time than quality.
With the right people, I can almost always enjoy their company. With many others it can be exhausting within a few short minutes and Iād quickly rather be doing almost anything else.
I had someone else confirm this issue was happening to them too, and they said they resolved it by clearing the app cash and then restarting their phone, so it might be worth trying that to see if it fixes it for you too.
Expand this for instructions to clear Cache/Memory-Leak Variables:
- CLEAR THE APP CACHE:
- At a minimum, in the app go to the Account Tab
ā Select App Settings
ā Go down to where it says Cache File Size
ā select Clear on the right side. - If using Android, Go back to your phoneās home screen and Long-press on the Wyze appās launcher icon (or wherever you tap to initially open the app)
ā Select App info in the pop-up menu.
ā Select Storage and Cache
ā Tap Clear cache (and consider tapping on Clear storage too) on the Storage screen.
ā Just to be thorough, tap Force stop on the App info screen (may need to tap OK to confirm).
- At a minimum, in the app go to the Account Tab
- Restart your phone.
- Restart the Wyze device
- Now try it again with everything pulling fresh and no potential memory leaks, etc.
Thanks. That is part of my SOP. Just in case Wyze changed something on their end I redid it 10 minutes ago. Did not help.
There is another thread running.
I think @spamoni is collecting log files.
If there is a common thread to the social event, such as one topic; any conference or gathering is fine. Like you mentioned, small groups are more intimate.
I did enjoy Microsoft conferences with thousands because we had one main topic of interest. Also, I have enjoyed river cruises of 195 people because we have a common interest in the moment of travel.
I generally wait for any OS upgrades at least until one fix has been released. I never jump into XX.0 bandwagon. Couple weeks ago I upgraded to iOS 18.1, No issues whatsoever. The Wyze app crashes started with 3.2.5 (5) before I updated to iOS 18.1 and got ported to production version 3.2.5 (9). I experience them also on my iPad iOS 16.7.10 (highest it can go). I doubt they are iOS 18 related.
You are correct. that thread is linked at the top of this thread.
Introverts like long posts. Iām an exception
I can upgrade my 4th gen iPad pro to iOS 18.xxx but still . Iāve read to many bad reviews in general about 18, not just WYZE issues
18.0 was a dud, I have no issues with 18.1. You can always wait for 18.2 or 18.1.1.
How about fixing the issue with the SD cards? I have V3 and wonāt find the Sandisk 32GB SD card. I tried all the magic tricks and suggestions given by other users, but it is up to WYZE to fix this issue. Why should I buy a card from the site when I know my card is primo. So before you fix or try to fix other bugs, fix this one.
