WCO v1 and v2 have had the issue since November 2023. I do not know if the issue affects the Battery Cam Pro.
I donât believe so. Ever since the update in November, both the base station and outdoor cams ruined the 1 minute cooldown.
For those following this issue:
Is the issue still being investigated? The issue still remainsâŠ
It is. They keep asking for people to post logs about it and tag Jason in the fix it Friday thread. I Believe this is partially so they can get a fill for how prevalent and widespread the issue is affecting people. Not many people ever bother to post logs for things though.
Anyway, they are still working on it. It is still listed as one of the Fix-It Friday issues pending resolution
Ok thanks. I just sent a log file

Hey they finally replicated this issue!
Up to now they kept saying they hadnât been able to replicate it yet. Maybe weâll finally get a fix
I just discovered and reset all 12 of of my WCO cameras back to NO COOL DOWN. I donât have time to monitor crap like this and itâs annoying to say the least. I have cards in all cameras and the base stations and all are solar powered.
Odd that it canât be replicated until now but honestly I get needing more data from users. I didnât get an email stating hey USERS are you having this issue?? Keep an eye out and send us THIS.
We all have lives so I just reset. And I put it on my calendar and will check them in one week. What is needed of me in terms of logs?? Thank for keeping at this!! Again an ALL CALL to end users what be a more efficient way of getting input from people. If there is one then I must not be on that mailing list.
Thanks! Let me know how I can help.

Reset all you want, your cameras will still have a 1 minute cooldown, I have been resetting for 8 months and it has made no difference, still 1 min. between event videos.
I too have been resetting and resetting Event Recording to No Cooldown for my two WCO v1 and v2 and no success.
I donât spend much time in the Forums as I did in the past, but after playing âwhack a moleâ for awhile with my 8 WCO V1s on this 1 minute cooldown issue.
I was surprised/amused to see this has been going on for quite awhile.
Just checked one of those WCO v1âs, and sure enough the CoolDown is set to 1 min. Submited Log ID: 1481244 if Wyze Devs want to look at it.
Iâll guess the rest are as well, iâll submit logs on the other 7 later⊠well actually the other 6, as one of my WCO V1âs appears to have decided it no longer wants to hold a charge (I guess 3 years+ was itâs lifespanâŠ)

3 Years and 9 months.
Iâm surprised at how good the battery is. I could prolly go 2 months before needing to re-charge.
The frustrating part is that Wyze apparently cannot find the bug, or, is unable or unwilling to fix it. I would guess it would only take a coupla man hours to find the bug.
Still looking

Forum - Wyze Cam Outdoor has a forced cooldown period of 1-minute even with Cam Plus and âNo Cooldownâ setting enabled
We are still investigating this issue and have been able to replicate it now. The firmware team is still looking into a solution.
I think they just have their primary resources prioritizing some of the more severe/critical issues first.
If you notice, they didnât even do a new Fix It Friday event for July, presumably because they are already a little backlogged on addressing other critical issuesâŠwhich includes this issue that they confirmed they have replicated and committed to resolve. I expect it will get resolved, but I do understand that some of the other things might be viewed as imminently critical first.
This one wonât be forgotten about though.
Iâm paying for Cam Plus and not getting what Iâm paying for, if my 8 WCO v1âs are continuing to revert to a 1 minute âcooldownâ Perhaps Wyze should offer partial or full refunds based on the number of days that have elapsed that this has been affecting the WCO line of Cameras. Or they could just FIX the issue?
We are still doing it, but yes we are currently heavily backlogged in bugs and a few of them are fairly major. We are working to get some of these wiped out and then we will start collecting more bugs to put on the list. I am hoping to at least get another update out this week so we know where everything stands.
Latest FiF statement about this:
They still intend to fix it.
Maybe on itâs one year anniversary

On my 2 WCO v2âs with Cam Unlimited this enabled the âNo Cooldownâ option for me. In Event Recordings select âDetects Motionâ and unselect the 4 âWyze AI detectionsâ. Of course you loose AI dection but you get a complete video. A bug?
