Does this happen after an firmware update?
The issue of the one min. cooldown on the WCO has been happening since 6 November 2023 and has been discussed here hundreds of times. You can change the setting to no cooldown but it will not do anything at all, still 1 min.
It is never going to get fixed.
I’ve got the same issue and, like you, have had it for a long time. Thanks for posting this.
For over a year, I’ve had 2 WCO V2 (CAM PLUS subscription) with the same problem; no cooldown => 1 min cooldown the next time I check it.
WYZE PLEASE FIX THIS BUG THAT MANY HAVE REPORTED. YOU CONFIRMED IT IN FIX IT FRIDAY AND REPLICATED IT. NOW FIX IT PLEASE. It drastically reduces the value of my setup because it adds a one-minute gap in the middle of whatever is detected!
I’m still using four WCO v1 cams but I know they are never going to fix this issue. I have since added 10 plug in cameras and cam unlimited for important areas. If had to pay for Cam Plus for just the four WCO I would have cancelled the subscription long ago. As you stated, first they said the couldn’t replicate it, then they could and said they would fix it. Never going to happen.
Don’t give up hope.
I have exactly the same issue! Driving me crazy and that 1 minute cuts out so much.
Can we uninstall the update?
No, the firmware prior to 6 November 2023 that woud work is not available for download.
KEEP HOPE (and this topic) ALIVE! Such a stupid thing to have to keep asking for— come on, Wyze
FYI, hopefully this will be resolved in the near future per the following message:
It would be nice for the fix to happen before my four WCO v1 cams die of old age, they’ll be 5 in November. I want them to relive their youth one more time.
Good Morning @Antonius Hopefully @WyzeLi will make all of our WCO’s wishes come true in the near future
@WyzeLi, any updates?
How is the firmware that you are testing coming along?
While My 8 v1s are 2 v2s are enjoying their vacation time on the shelf at my desk, they are anxious to get back outside, and start recording any mice, rats, raccoons, @peepeep’s, and coyotes that might be wandering about my property.
(With the multiple threads on this issue, it would be a good idea to combine them into one thread, if someone wants to make that happen)
I has been 571 days since the WCO cams forced cooldown issue was introduced.
Hi all,
The Base Station firmware has passed the internal testing and we plan to release it to beta testers either next Monday or Tuesday. Please stay tuned!
Thanks!
Great news!, I appreciate you making this happen!
And also thanks to you, @CatHome for making this happen.
I dare say that it wouldn’t have happened without your efforts. Most of the rest of us gave up on it a year ago. Thank you.
