I found another thread about this same issue and someone suggested configuring a rule to automatically restart the camera, since that seems to restore functionality, at least temporarily. Unfortunately for me, my V3 that’s having the issue sometimes can’t go 5 mins without encountering the issue.
Normally, I wouldn’t want to tag Wyze staff but it seems there are several threads about this same issue. @UserCustomerGwen can you look at getting a stickied thread for this? These threads all seem related or have comments about the “getting stuck at 3/3” issue:
Super disappointed…again. First, it was the Wyze cam outdoor, with not nearly as good of sensitivity as the standard Wyze, Now it’s Wyze cam v3 with connection issues, I have to reboot this camera every time to view the feed, ridiculous! I replaced an older style Wyze cam that worked perfectly, with the exception of night vision. I’ll admit the night vision is much improved, but only when the camera connects, which seems to be only with a reboot. Very disappointed again.
I have 5 running wyze cameras and a week ago I added two V3 cameras. These new cameras are however not stable on the network, they fail to connect multiple times a day while all the older models are fine. I’m on the verge of returning them. Is anyone else having this problem?
One of my V3’s has been good, the other disconnects randomly.
-Both on Google nest mesh wifi,
-both at same distance from the routers.
Its funny because in the app the one that keeps disconnecting mentions “gathering video data” when I click on it. The blue light turns red on the front of the camera, and then nothing happens. Only way I can get the camera to work again is to unplug from power and plug back in.
Any ideas??
"I have 2 issues with my new v3 cam. I received it on 11/21. setup was easy. But it will not stay connected. The longest I have had it stay connected is about 7 hours. It hangs. It stops recording events. When I go look at it on the app it fails on step 3 of 3. It just keeps retrying. The only way to get it working again is to power cycle it. My Wifi is very good. The V3 is inside of the house during this testing. The other issue is. I have a micro SD card installed. Even though I have the camer…
I have a the v3 and 50% of the time it can’'t connect, gets hung on step 3.
