I was able to silence my notification on Android 11 for Wyze? I don’t see a feature change in those settings for the Pixel 3 XL? different phone for you maybe?
Mine is pixel 4a5g, but should behave the same as yours. I know on my work Samsung running android 11, when I enable minimize, it basically does nothing. I’m pretty sure my pixel on android 11 would not hide the statusbar icon, but I can’t remember for sure since I’ve been on 12 for several months.
on my Pixel 5, if I select the Hide on Status bar, it disappears as expected. Might have been a bug in an earlier version of the OS.
@QiS Tracking ALL FAMILY members is a MUST for me to get excited about location tracking.
There are multiple cameras, bulbs, routines that only make sense, depending on who left home or when EVERYONE is gone.
I know it can be done. Life360 routinely does it for our household … and it’s bullet proof. IFTTT used to marry Wyze and Life360 together.
Please assure us that this feature is in the future! Thanks!
OK so I’ve determined that I’m on the old rule engine. I’m running 2.23.12, How do I get added to the new rules engine?
go to forums in search enter location go to location on beta 2.23
on the top qsun explains what you have to do
Send @QiS a message to see if you cam be added
Hi, can I please get the location trigger added to this account? Thanks!
Have you done this?
I have no idea what this email means. I have 4 cams and they’re working well. Do I need to do anything??
Don’t worry about it. They’re just telling us they’re testing out a new feature where you can choose to tell it to do something based on whether you are home or away from home. If you don’t intentionally set it up, you won’t notice any difference in how things have always been working for you. If your cameras are all working well and you don’t want anything to change, just ignore this whole thread and you won’t notice any difference at all. Things should keep working as they always have.
If you want your cameras to turn on or off or notifications to turn on or off based on whether you are home or when you leave home, then they are testing a new feature that could soon allow you to make changes based on your location, which is kind of cool and fun for some of us to play with.
Hi @todwatts family members feature is in our roadmap. It makes no sense if a smart home product can only be used by one person. Please be patient.
This is very exciting! Thank you for sharing it is in the roadmap and something we can eventually look forward to!
I’m not seeing a location trigger so I assume I am in the old group. I’d like to be able to test it. My email is [Mod Edit]

As promised, qsun got an update for the Android issues in the latest app beta. Lets go test it out and see if it works a little better:
(Also fixed some other bugs people were reporting)

@QiS location based rule on Android successful!
This works great for me. I am using Android 11 on a Google Pixel 4a5g. One request though. I would like to have a timer option to delay turning off selected cameras. When I arrive home I like the cameras to capture that event.
Hi @mcjohnson74 Thank you for your feedback. The timer option is in our bucket, we’ll consider it.
@QiS just wanted to let you know that recently, I would say within the last week or so, one bulb or a couple will seem to shut off and come back on almost immediately. Not sure if it is Rules being cycled or something else. Is there a way I can track down what is going on? It just happened again on one of my regular bulbs which has been on since 4:30pm Eastern Time.
Or is this indicative of the Bulb going bad?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
