You may be right about forced App updates after 2022. I just remember 2022 because I have one old iPad that can’t update past IOS 10.3 and the Wyze App stopped working. Now I just use my iPad 10.3 for games with WiFi turned off.
Thanks! I’m just trying to keep up!
The livestream is completely pointless.
I can only see 2 on an iphone13 and loading the livestream takes an eternity (more than 5 seconds). I have to touch a stream to be able to do anything with the camera. If I go back, the stream is reloaded again.
I have my thermostat as my 1st favorite. That’s more important than a livestream. More livestreams are a dead end. Not everyone has more than 20 MB/s upstream.
What I need is to be able to set that the devices are the start page and remain there permanently. And that the temperature and humidity are displayed for the thermostat.
Never mind. The Wyze app has become extremely difficult to use.
Steven, I have a couple old Nexus 7 tablets that got ‘versioned-out’ a while back, they still hold a charge about as long as they did when they were new 10+ years ago. In my back pages, you’ll see me in topics I created holding on for dear life to outdated app versions out of self-defense. It really was prudent at the time. It’s been probably going on two years that I’ve been app version current so Wyze has definitely improved.
I see nothing wrong with the . 0 app.
What am I doing wrong?
It works for me. I see no issues on my use. Did they release 3.1?
I only have the . O app on my tablet and all is swell.
I’m the wrong person to ask. I’m still using v2.5x.
What are you waiting for? I thought I was last on their list.
Google Play Store is still showing me v2.5x. If and when v3.0 becomes available to me, I’ll consider my own staged install, starting with an older device. I continue to stand by a previous statement:
Overall, I like the new 3.0 app. It is much more customizable and can be made to use up less screen real estate with other devices, plus having 2 dashboards is great IMO.
The main things I think that can be frustrating are:
- when you have 300+ Wyze devices like me and have to redo the whole layout from scratch because the old dashboard order didn’t transfer over automatically. This can take a LONG time to reorganize hundreds of devices and groups that are all messed in a different order now.
- If you don’t want all of your cameras immediately livestreaming every time you open your app, especially if you have limited bandwidth, a bandwidth data cap, or would prefer to see more devices on the dashboard upfront instead of just a couple of livestreams taking up the full view.
- Some people have personal preferences for what info or features should be usable from the main screen…some want to be able to hit on/off buttons or see other info.
- It’s human nature to dislike major change.
- Performance issues: Some people report they are still experiencing bugs or connectivity issues, including cameras saying they are offline when they aren’t.
How’d you know I was replying to you?!
True story. You should drink Scotch and post.
Eight devices are much easier to manage. I agree there.
Paranoia.
Fixed it for you.

Fixed it for you.
Well done
That’s what I meant.
