I tried to like this app, it is horrible. I finally figured out moving Device list items to Favorites. Now when I go to Favorites with multiple cameras, it is actually loading Livestream to all of the cameras in the list. So when I want to go to specific camera, it takes multiple attempts to go to Livestream which delays Viewing the Livestream. Sometimes taking way too much time compared to previous version of the App. How can I go back to the previous version? I liked the old list for all devices.

Use the search feature. A couple options to choose from. If anything, search for APK.

Yeah not sure who thought it would be a great idea to make every camera live stream at once…
You can download previous versions from a reputable site like APKMirror.
Make sure you disable auto update for Wyze in the play store so it doesn’t automatically update it again back to this un-useable mess again.
Hopefully they get a corrected version together soon.
**Edit ** Android Only as WildBill pointed out, I missed that tiny iPhone/iPad tag at the top. Oops.

I think you may have misread the post…iPhone/iPad. No easy way to do this in Apple Land. I have access to the beta software but not sure if I can still get the older version.

Yeah…I frequently miss the tags as well. Just happened to notice this time. Of course, it could be tagged erroneously.

Yeah, Favorites seems to load slower ATM. I was lucky that I only had one cam on the old Home tab that wasn’t in a group – my garage door cam. So that still takes a bit to load, but everything else is in a group. When I click on those groups, they load fast.

I have 4 cams in one group and then 7 individual cams. Every cam is going Livestream and you can see several of them takes several tries to connect. When 11 cams are going Livestream, that puts a bit of a bit of bandwidth to the wifi network. I have a pretty good Orbi Mesh system, but I only want specific cams to go Live, not ALL. All cams going live slows down the process.

Seems 8 may be the sweet spot. That is unfortunate if I ever want to grow to 300+ devices.
The latest update is So frustrating! I didn’t realize it was an automatic thing. Renders the viewing option useless!!! It takes so long to load it’s faster for me to jump up run across house & look thru my window to see what the hell is happening BEFORE APP LOADS CORRECTLY

Streaming in group is the same as before, i.e, only 4 cams at a time when you scroll to them, For those in favorites I just turn them off and turn them back on when I want to view the cams,
The main thing I miss are the cam thumbnails in the device list. Now I can only depend on names to recognize my many cams.

Which really doesn’t work that well if you have a bunch of cameras at multiple properties. It makes keep track of more than one front door for example, loads of fun…

I called today and canceled my subscription and I really want a refund because the new app sucks. It is such a mess. It’s worse than ringing and I didn’t think anybody could be worse than them. You have gone the wrong way. I cannot believe we cannot back up. I’ve tried all day. I’m so disgusted with this now, it was slow before and now it’s Pathetic.
If anybody has Vizio TVs then you’ll understand what I’m talking about. They have made the worst mistake change in their software. Everybody can’t wait to get rid of the TVs and this is turning out to be the same thing. I am so mad I want all my money back. I don’t wanna wait a year for my subscription to end because it just plain out sucks This is the worst. It is the slowest thing on the face of the earth. I’ve had with Ring and I’ve had this. The Ring app is much better than this now. I cannot believe I didn’t read the fine print about being refunded. I am so livid about this. I don’t want this in our house anymore.

I am on IOS 17.5.1.
This is what happens when its development team puts in what it thinks are nifty features without doing any careful system and loading analysis and testing in a real world environment!
The latest app version grinds the app to a halt! The Home screen attempts to pull live streams of all favorite cameras, ending up spinning forever! This latest app just adds more frustrations and it’s almost unusable!

I can’t agree more that the new 3.0 totally sucks. And my complaints to Wyze seem to fall on deaf ears. The previous version was sooo simple. My wife has an older android and still has the older version. It’s all good on her phone. I struggle and fight 3.0 on mine!

That is exactly what happened to me. I called and got some guy Samuel and he just listened to me. Tell him how bad the thing is and said OK so they really don’t care. I’ve discontinued my service with them which unfortunately you can’t get a refund so you just have to play it out through the year hopefullyyou can still use the cameras to monitor your home because I have nine of them
