Known1,
I was hoping you would join in on the fun!
I am tempted to purchase a V4 camera just to see if stuttering on playback occurs on it.
It does not happen on v2 cameras, v1 doorbells, or the doorbell Pro.
I have one battery cam pro, and it does NOT seem to stutter on event playback either,
but I have motion tagging on (I will turn that off and see if it smooths out).
UPDATE:
I went ahead and bit on the $27.80 (total with tax/shipping) V4 camera.
I will hook it up and see if it stutters on Cam Unlimited event playback with “record sound” turned off under advanced settings using an android 14 Pixel 6a/8.
UPDATE:
I received the new V4 today.
I set it up with a 128gb SD card and ran through installation.
It did a firmware update almost immediately.
I guess it went onto my Cam Unlimited because events are being recorded.
The Interface looks exactly like the V3 Pro in the Android app.
I will see if there is any stuttering on event playback with “record sound” turned off. @Known1
I often had issues with the granular detection zones but managed to make it work.
Now, I see when I moved my cam from wifi 5 to wifi 6, the re-addition removed my granular capability. The one square method is not as granular and having multiple squares.
Yes, Sodcam said it a little too politely If I give a camera to someone I’m less likely to care that the footage is gone. If a camera is stolen, I 100% expect the footage to remain. These are not misinterpreted as “security” cameras, they are marketed as such.
Thank you both for keeping up with this!
I’m just feeling concerned for poor Scott and his HHC franchise that apparently replaced his “apparently professional grade” 13 cam ADT system that had some NVR issues with Wyze cams.
Or maybe he only replaced the 4 dining area cams - it was definitely vague, fast talking and aspirational.
( I’m completely agnostic on ADT by the way - have never used or worked with any of their stuff personally, but have heard more than enough, pro and con, horrible and wonderful, that I REALLY REALLY do NOT want to start discussing them here! )
What we all do seem to agree on though is that there’s a goodly list of concretely promised, or delivered-then-broken features that need to be addressed, and hopefully we are getting some attention from some of the deciders within Wyze who might get something done.

Why do the words, " FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! " keep echoing in my head…?
I have inquired with the team and I am not sure when but the change was made intentionally. I am sending feedback to show that users do want this feature, but since it was intentional. It does not qualify for Fix-It Friday, but rest assured I am sending the feedback up.
It was intentional that you instantly lose all of your 14 day cloud event clips for a camera, if that camera gets registered to a different Wyze account??
Was there a problem with people creating multiple accounts and moving cameras around or something?
I scratched my head about that, too, and I wonder what the rationale was. I also appreciate the update and wonder how transparent Wyze is able willing to be about those kinds of discussions. This feels like one of these situations:
