Doorbell V2 camera chime not working "Operation failed"

This advertised feature of using the cameras as the doorbell chime simply does not work at all.

It does work, but the user experience is inconsistent at best. I have a Cam Pan v3 that still chimes even when it isn’t supposed to, and I documented and demonstrated in a video last month that the app will sometimes report cameras selected for this feature even when none actually are. This feature clearly still has a lot of problems, and I believe that’s why the “Cameras as Chime” Help Center article was recently amended to remove previous references to extending that feature “soon”.
