You’re saying everyone who’s complained is somehow using buggy computers, and you could view images at full 1080p+ in full-screen mode? Do you have 4 or fewer cameras so you didn’t have to scroll through several pages to see all your cameras vs. having them all on one page in the old (now current) version?

I actually liked the dark background, too, since I’m a dark-mode person. Maybe the next update will take the best of both worlds, if that’s possible.
I recently received an email from Wyze reminding me that I had not closed my support ticket. I sent them this reply:
| I now have no issues unless they reinstate the six camera limit in the web viewer. |
This part of their reply worries me:
The Wyze Web View has currently been reverted to its previous user interface while we continue working on improvements to enhance the customer experience of the latest version. At this time, we do not have an estimated timeline for when it will transition back to the updated interface.
I hope the timeline is long. I’ll be polite and say that my “customer experience of the latest version” is very poor.

Thanks for posting this. It just reinforces my commitment to leave this company ASAP. It would be great if they chimed-in here on this channel/conversation to let us know WHAT they thought they were “improving” with their new version. And why would they roll-out to the WHOLE user community something that is obviously no further along than a beta-testing product.
Do we want to turn this thread into a productive one? I’ve been looking into ubiquiti for an NVR + Cameras + Door Bell camera. We’re talking a couple thousand bucks. One of the things I like about Ubiquiti’s cameras is the ability to power cameras over POE that Wyze doesn’t have but my house was not pre-wired for this. I’m also using Wyze’s home monitoring. What do I switch to for this if I migrate away? Has anyone taken the plunge yet?
I’m installing ethernet cabling and replacing all Wyze cameras with POE and an NVR. I don’t know if I’ll sell my Wyze cameras or make them secondary non-essential cameras. But yes, Cabled POE is the surefire way to go for a proper security setup.
There is a Dark Reader extension available for both Chrome and Firefox that will allow you to achieve that. You don’t have to rely on every webpage to enable dark mode for you. You can do that yourself. I have never used the Wyze Web Portal with a white background.
I am with you 100%. The lack of public acknowledgment from Wyze, the removal of the new Wyze Web Portal announcement as if it never happened, their apparent interest in updating it regardless of this fiasco . . . I do not know what they are going to do next, I do not know if I will be inconvenienced again, I now have zero confidence in Wyze not to F up my whole setup again.
Read the room.
I just returned back to Amazon 16 more cameras that I bought for Wyze a door locks back to Amazon because I’m getting ready to install a different security system. Those cameras I bought was for my other property but now I just ordered more ring cameras and other security cameras that are hardwired not Wi-Fi
Wish you all the best. I have had some issues with my cameras, and at times have struggled with making things work the way I would really like them to. However - my needs are not critical so I learn to work around my issues with the cameras. What I will say - is that no system is perfect. When selecting my WYZE cameras, I did a bunch of research on cameras. I did this not by reading reviews but by reading support forums from the various manufacturers. What I found is that just about all the systems that work on WiFi have complaints about connectivity. I also found a lot of complaints about system access on various wired services. So - In the end, I never did find anything that was perfect.
I was able to access it, but it’s not obvious. However, you will be able to if your browser isn’t fully maximized. Of course, that doesn’t justify the unfortunate design of this button.
If you watch the video, the window is maximized (using Chrome on a desktop computer) - as such, it also clearly shows the difficulty in accessing the mute/unmute button. But ultimately the real question is; why did this suddenly need to be shown/added at all - it serves no real purpose.
Oddly enough, you DO have the ability to show or hide the Wyze logo for a given camera, but I’m assuming most people would prefer less clutter within a window whenever possible, so I hide that as well. But if you DON’T hide the Wyze logo (advanced settings), then only part of the logo appears, as a majority is now hidden behind this new “notification” - i would also assume that was not intended consequence as you can see here…
I’m sure if I’m ever forced to restart my browser, I’ll start seeing this awful thing as well, but for now, I’m back to the restored old portal. Wyze doesn’t seem to have a way of testing their changes before they roll them out. We should get compensated for being their beta testers.
For those following this thread, they announced a new update to webview launching 3/31/26 (tomorrow per time of this post). They will be watching feedback in the following thread:
I appreciate that they say they implemented our feedback from last month and made an announcement this time and committed to watching the thread for new feedback.
It sounds like we can do up to 9 cameras at a time with the new version. It will be interesting to see all the other updates and new features.
Anyway, when it launches tomorrow, if you have new feedback about webview That you want the employees involved in webview to read, post in that thread. ![]()
Looking forward to the new Web View. I was certainly a disappointing experience getting the previous “new web view” dropped on us. This new release at least sounds like Wyze would prefer folks not drop their Unlimited Plans.
And we’re back to our old horror movie with this new version…
I’m glad they rolled this out now because my renewal is due on April 4 and I will not be renewing. I don’t have 3 minutes to waste waiting for the live view to refresh everytime I go to that tab. I’m out.
I see here that the old view is still possible through overview mode, and we also have gridview mode, which is the mode with the limit of 9 cameras and pagination. If I can continue with overview mode, then that’s fine by me.
