Same issue here several Cam V3 (not all) with firmware 4.36.16.5654 and one Pan V3 with 4.50.16.5654 are not getting live streaming after update. I am running version 3.10.5.2 in iPhone 15 (iOS 26.2.1). Removed all camera groups but same problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Let me re-phrase my statement. I will update when complaints lessen. Expecting zero complaints is probably asking too much.
I opened that new ugly WYZE web portal to see if all the cameras would stream. I left it open for one hour and switched between the pages since you can only view four cams per page now. The were no issues with the V3 cams. I do not have the attention span or desire to leave cams streaming all day on my PC.

And I stand by my last statement ![]()
How is your viewing from sd card? Since updating two of my V3s will not load sd card video and lags terribly or the time does not match. Frustrating. I reformatted the card and cleared cache and still having issues. Noticing it is so slow to connect to sd card and it says starting secure connection which I have never seen before.
In the future I will turn off auto updates (just found that option a little to late) for future because reverting back to old firmware is too difficult for me as they are up high on the house. Guess I will wait to see if they send a bug fix but not holding my breath.
No doubt and I couldnāt agree more. I mentioned this a very long time ago. Does WYZE care, NOPE not one bit. They have their mind made up on what works for us users. Personally, I think they are making it more difficult to delete events for a reason. Iāve been waiting since 1/28/2026 to hear back from their official security team regarding my questions. So far, nodda. Donāt let WYZE fool you into believing they take your privacy or data security seriously. After all, if they did take this seriously it wouldnāt take over a week to hear back. Not even a courtesy reply stating something like, āthanks for your questions, weāll look into these matters and get back with you soonā.
Same deal here. WYZE makes changes to their app that make it more difficult to use. Another thing that is completely nuts is how audio is now turned off when playing event videos. Granted there was a wish list item for this, but there were not that many up votes on it. Yet WYZE cherry picked this wish list item to please few and bother many. ![]()
I canāt get to the SD Card content via the app⦠without the camera streaming (connected) live. So, no ability to look at recorded content. BUTā¦. it is capturing events and those are going to the cloud where I can check them and view them.
Also, is working fine using the Web view portal⦠I use Firefox (although I have one low priority camera that wonāt load there). The PanCam3 Iām having trouble with also loaded fine in Chrome from the webview.
My two V3s are now working again somehow. I unplugged them for 10 mins and during that time I rebooted my router. Now that there is a way to change your network in the app I re-entered my network information and it is working much better. I can now click on SD card and it lets we scroll through time with no lag. Thank goodness.
I have not used the web view so now that you said that worked I will try that as well. Thanks
Ok, thanks for sharing, Iāll try your resolution before I go through the process to back to the previous firmware. I got it all loaded on an SD card. But will try your method first. Thanks
Problem with Live view on Pan Cam V2 after firmware update version 4.49.16.5654. The Wyze App version on my Motorola running Android 15 is version 3.10.5.749.
I have 4 Pan Cam V2, they connect ok on group view on monitoring view, I think the connection is slightly slower than before firmware update in group view.
The problem is Live view, It will attempt to connect stuck at 1/3 and then repeat attempting to connect a second time and failed again.
And the message āConnection failed, Please try:1.Force close app and retry 2.Power cycle the camera will come up which also display the on/off power button below the error message.
When I press the power button display under this error message, and it finally connect. This is very annoying.
Subject: iOS RTSP Setup Bug - Credentials Fail on Wyze Pan V3
Details:
- Multiple iOS Devices Tested: Multiple (iPhone/iPad on iOS 18.x, iOS 26.x)
- Wyze App: Latest production version (reinstalled fresh on each device)
- Camera: Wyze Pan Cam V3 with the latest firmware (4.50.16.5654)
- Network: Standard home WiFi, no VPN/proxy interference
- Reproducibility: 100% failure across 15+ attempts per device, reboot, reinstall, power-cycle
Exact Failure Sequence:
- Camera Settings ā Advanced Settings ā RTSP (toggle ON if needed)
- Username field: Enter valid alphanumeric (e.g., ārtspuserā) ā Tap NEXT
ā FAIL: Screen resets to blank RTSP cycling page instantly (no error message, no progress) - If username briefly accepts (rare): Password field appears
ā Enter password ā Confirm/Save ā FAIL: Infinite spinner OR hard app crash to home screen - Post-failure: RTSP toggle reverts OFF; credentials never provisioned on camera
Root Cause Indicators:
- NO third-party access possible without app completing credential setup first
- RTSP Username loop crashes
- Survived: full app reinstalls (3x per device), device reboots, camera power cycles, WiFi resets
This BLOCKS RTSP entirely on iOS - app must configure credentials on camera firmware.
**Priority Requests:**![]()
- Unify camera credentials between App and RTSP by default. Optional unique user/pass upon subset option. Only offer unique user/pass for customers requiring Encrypted RTSP (RTSPS). Improve length and proximity of warning dialog boxes. Not User Friendly. Current implementation is undesirable for mainstream home users on a small private network.
- Add RTSP under Account > Settings > Smart Integrations
- Remove false red dot Account indicator.
Not upgrading to Wyze cloud. Red dot indicated optional sales promotion, not functionality impact or camera activity notification. iOS UI rule broken,
Can someone explain to me how RTSP would be useful to me? Right now I monitor my 3 cameras in Google Home and the Wyze app. Iām wondering if Iām missing out on useful features. Thanks
Thanks!
I got RTSP working with an IP Cam Viewer app.
Secure RTSP (SSL) still havenāt figured that out.
I would love to have the RTSP feature on other Wyze cameras, such as:
- DoorBell V2
- Cam Floodlight Pro
I have updated a couple of my V3 cams and they seem okay. I have one V3 that has required manually installing the firmware for the last several years. I went to grab the firmware, but it is not available for download. What gives?
@WyzeJasonJ When will the firmware be available for download?
Thanks,
Known1
Iām the opposite, RTSPS works fine, but I get failed connections when using RTSP.
I can report that this firmware update completely breaks connection to tinycam.
If you rely on TinyCam, you should not install this update until the app has been updated to accommodate it. However, I do not know anything about the RTSP functionality. Maybe that would solve the problem, but I havenāt experimented with it.
The tiny cam Dev posted 4-5 days ago:
New update will be soon. Finishing testing.
The new update should fix the camera streaming issues.
Though the new update is removing Google drive support since Google changed the API to be too difficult.
So a fix for the camera authentication changes should be available soon⦠Though Iām not sure if he was talking about a release to beta soon or if itās already in beta and will be released to the main public channel soon. Either way, heās working on it.
I tried RTSPS using IPCam Pro, which didnāt work. What app are you using?
Iām using frigate, but I was testing it with vlc. I have a cam V3.
