WyzeJasonJ,
Should this firmware be OK for people coming from 4.58.11.7214 (the problematic firmware)?

Well, I have one on 7214 so I will run an update on mine as soon as the update shows and let you know what happens.

No download link and the beta app says I’m up to date with 4679. I did flush the apps cache.

I am working on getting the download link now and it will be posted soon after it is provided to me.

Is this only available for manual uSD card flashing?

You should also see an OTA update available sometime shortly.

Good to go. From the app I turned off the camera. Then swapped out sd cards. Then powered off the camera. Then held down the setup button and powered on. Shortly thereafter the purple (red+blue) led was displayed. Then after the purple went dark I waited maybe another twenty seconds. Then I released the setup button. The led remained off. Then after going to the app I saw it was working.

A few notes…

How about a verbal indication the camera is on after a firmware update. My settings have the led off always. With the beta app and auto updates off I would like the option to OTA this.

It will be available OTA also, it just occasionally takes time to show up.

OTA update is now available via app. Updating 1st cam now…

Update went fast and smooth. Cam working well. Updating a v3 Pro that failed last round and has issues recovering from powercycle… update went well. Did warm restarts via app and also a powercycle. Problem cam is running well.

Also updated the rest of my v3 Pros. Will monitor for anomalies.

Update: It’s been almost 5 hours. For 3 cams running this firmware, I’ve done numerous restarts, powercycles, cycled WiFi, simultaneous double streaming for 4 hours straight, played with settings… I’m done stress testing.

Updated firmware and the cam did not start back up again, off line. Power Cycled via smart plug , back on line recording continuous and cloud events. (I still have my .4679 firmware loaded on an SD just in case)

All three of my V3 Pros were at 4.58.11.7214 and all successfully updated OTA (one at a time) to 4.58.11.7357.

Any news on “Security Improvements” for the Wyze Video Doorbell PRO?
Thanks for continuing to keep us updated WyzeJasonJ

I can’t seem to get the V3 Pro to show the purple LED… I am following the steps just like the V3… Never had a issue with V3 or V2 cameras before with flashing…

Anyone else lose the open/close feature on the garage door cam/opener?

Do not rename the file for the V3 Pro. And use a 32GB or smaller card.
I Did the V3 Pro a few days ago. I did not do a factory reset. I just put the .4679 firmware on the SD card, pushed and held the setup button plugged the cam in and it updated to the older firmware. New firmware today, did you try it?

You lost the Garage Controller open/close feature after updating your Cam V3 Pro firmware?

Thanks! Got all of them working now

I can’t say it was the direct cause. I can say I had it as recently as a day ago and now the icon on the controller screen is gone. On both mine and my wife’s app.
