Another person with a V3 problem ,changed micro sd cards , reformatted both EXFAT and 32, went through the set up ,restart with the same result, HELLO Wyze what is the problem?
This problem has been around for some time. For some reason, some cams are affected while others are not.
If you discovered the issue within the warranty period, I suggest that you return it.
Otherwise, read through the many posts about this issue and definitely open a case with support.
There are many volunteers here that go above and beyond to help you but in this issue, success is extremely low.

When did Wyze become aware of this issue ?
I am somewhat technically deficient will an android emulator on my PC get around this problem ?
2019, I believe. I could be wrong. I saw an old post.
I know you didn’t ask me… but no. An emulator would not help. The problem is within the camera. Some debate if it is the software or hardware.
An emulator on-hand is a good troubleshooting tool, normally.
I am “happy” to announce that playback from events is not V3 only issue. Hey @Antonius my brand new V4 won’t play SD recordings from events page either. It shows no recordings at all as seen below. The timeline is empty.
But when I go from live view the timeline is full.
This leads me to believe that this a botched up code, nothing to do with hardware.
P.S. Ignore what the camera is showing, it is in experimental mode until I decide where to mount it :).
Yes I have the dreaded CamPlus Unlimited, and no, the timeline stays empty when I scroll up or down. However sometimes it shows small bars as if I have events only selected which I don’t. That’s what leads me to believe that Wyze programmers botched the code.

Don’t you just love how technology works. It often works on the FM principle.
How long has this been an issue? when did Wyzw become aware of the problem ? what is the return rate for this defect ?when did they notify their customers of this issue ? since they don;t know the cause of the problem how can they send perhaps defective products to the customer relying on customer field testing?, if the source of the problem is UNK how do they know that a firmware update will not disable a working camera?
Since the end of February 2024 and no they Did not notify customers.It is not an issue with all the V3 cams, I installed two new V3 cams 2 weeks apart, one works and will playback the SD card from the events page, the second camera will playback the SD from live view but not the events page.
The first cam required the firmware to be updated 6 time to get current, the second cam took 4 updates to get current.
Those must be different V3 hardware revisions. All of my V3s don’t exhibit the bug. But then all of my V3s are old.
