I wish they would add an option to the app to be able to have the camera ring even if in privacy mode. As suggested I could point it away but I’d like to not have to reposition every internal camera when I leave the house and turn on recording. Of course I could do a rule to have them start recovering when I leave if I don’t adjust them to point in a corner.
Ugh. Now my Cam Pan v3s seem to be stuck in Camera as Chime mode.
If I navigate in the Wyze app to my Video Doorbell v2 > Settings > Chime > Cameras as Chime, it currently says “Not setup”. If I tap that to get to the Select cameras screen, the app shows me that no cameras are selected.; however, the cameras are still producing a chime sound with a doorbell button press, despite this setting.
Before anyone asks, I’m not using a Ring action in Rules to trigger the camera chimes.
How do I actually turn this feature off? Is this a known bug?
I’m I to understand your beta was transfer over to your OG wyze cameras as well as your v3
where are checkums for firmware files if i wanted update firmware from sd card?
This seems like a valid question. You want some assurance of the file’s validity so you don’t risk bricking the device, eh? I’m kind of surprised this data isn’t already posted with the downloadable files.
I not been able to connect the Wyze Cam pan v3,barcode no fine drivers for my Android cell.Help me

Big deal, where is RTSP???
As far as I understand it, officially integrated RTSP is not even on the table for this camera model (though it’s available through 3rd parties like Docker Wyze Bridge, Tiny Cam, etc).
I don’t think Wyze will consider any local streaming protocols until the Matter coalition first releases their proposed Camera libraries. After that, Wyze will then consider how they want to move forward. But it’s likely their roadmap will only be future camera models, rather than doing backward compatibility. We know that some previous camera models are definitely not possible to be backward compatible.
We’re expecting Matter 1.2 to introduce video support sometime late this year, but the details are still being finalized. However, we are fairly certain Matter will not be using RTSP as they want to prioritize protocols that are more lightweight, efficient and better suited for smart home environments. My guess is that they will implement WebRTC instead since it has low latency and good efficiency and is already highly supported by Google and Alexa Displays, so they are likely to push everyone else to use this too. It’s possible they will choose HLS or a custom protocol though. Either way, Matter isn’t likely to RTSP because it’s complex to implement and manage and would add overhead to resource-constrained devices, and it’s not as scalable as other protocols when involving a large number of cameras in a smart home, and there is some hesitation over security vulnerabilities.
Either way, I would ask this question again after the CSA finally officially announces the release of Matter 1.2 if it does indeed include the Camera libraries in it. If so, then I would expect Wyze to finally analyze their options and decide how they’re moving forward.
For now, if you want RTSP like me, I recommend using Docker Wyze Bridge. It does a pretty good job of allowing me to have RTSP (or a number of other protocols) from my Wyze cams and being able to use their streams with my own custom integrations.
