Thanks for the feedback! The engineering team has just fixed the issue under Automation History! Please let me know if that still happens to you by this Friday. If so, we can take another look!

@nyuan

was this a server side Fix? If so, I will know tonight if the issue still exists and let you know.

If it is an app fix, then when I get the new app, I will check then.

You are right. It is just a cloud-side fix. No App side changes.

This is a universal design to all users regardless of location. We will improve the wording in the future to avoid confusion.

Just want to double confirm, the Friendly Faces feature is not functioning normal even though you live (and your cameras are) in non-regulated area? Could you submit an app log for us to further investigate?

Thanks!

Here’s a few. At least one of these is for Friendly Faces bug. Since there is so little detail attached to tickets it’s quite difficult to isolate and impossible to tag them by category

I am in Georgia with no facial detection restrictions and cannot get friendly faces to work. Log id 1472326

Log ticket 1472721. I am located in Dutchess County NY, specifically zip code 12590. There are no facial recognition restrictions here.

Beta crashes Wyze Doorbell (v1) when attempting to set Wyze Chime schedule.

Please note app 3.0 beta 2 update:

It’s a very nice app. It would be AMAZING if you guys could add in two features at some point:

  1. Continuous scroll event timeline

2.The ability to clear al cloud storage at once, instead of having to go theough each individual day.

Here’s a screenshot of them working now. :+1:t4:

Ok, I’m trying to decide if this is a big deal or not…

Ever since the Beta 3.0 app was released, I noticed that, when viewing events (not in live view) in landscape mode, the image is zoomed in a little. Just enough to obscure the time stamp and Wyze logo at the bottom.

This requires more clicking and dragging up/down/left /right to see the entire image. And a double-tap still zooms all the way in, but double-tapping again does not zoom ALL the way out.

In the previous app, switching to landscape mode showed a zoomed out view that showed the logo, timestamp and entire image from top to bottom without requiring me to double-tap or pinch to zoom in/out.

It would be great if we could go back to the original functionality.

Has anyone else noticed this? Am I being too picky?

Otherwise, I’m really loving the new Beta app!

I reported similar behavior when the 3.0 beta was initially released. Still occuring. I found that disabling Smart Focus improved the situation.

Thanks for the suggestion. I only have one V4 camera with Smart Focus. All of my other cams are V3s or OGs or outdoor cams. None of them have Smart Focus as a feature.

@andy869 Unfortunately our v3.0 app will need minimum iOS 15 or higher to run. Some of the new code needs iOS 15 as minimum OS. That is likely why your got crash immediately. Sorry about that!

BTW, even if we get v3.0 released you can still use v2.50 version app on your phone. You will keep current v2.50 experience without the v3.0 new features.
