4.50.5.1318 Beta Changelog/Release Notes? (Wyze Cam Pan V3)

Just like the title says, trying to find the changelog for this beta release as I’m not seeing it anywhere.

[Mod Note]: Your topic was merged to this Beta announcement topic for better visibility to Wyze.

Wyze must be swamped this Monday. I applied the beta update to 2 of 7 CPv3 cams for beta testing. Updates took longer than usual, but both cams are working well. Will keep an eye on them looking for anomalies, although I’m not sure what I should be looking for.

Yah, I’m sure it’ll probably be fine pushing the update… That being said, I always like to know what the release contains lol

Applied 4.50.5.1318 update to my remaining 5 CPv3 cams as my 24-hour beta test ran well.

v3 Pro firmware version 4.58.13.1321 is not showing as available yet. Still running version 4.58.13.0416.

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Android 3.2.0.b574 app.

First impression of v3.2: Seems like a mature app now. I especially like the new Camera Card Style option.

  • Updated Cam Pan v3 - No Issues. Seems to be working fine
  • Checked V3Pro - No Beta FW available yet. I am still at 4.58.13.0416
  • Android App - not available yet.
  • iOS App - Available and Installed. Will test shortly

The Update is reported as:

but it does not list what the bug fixes are. Wyze seldom does provide that list.

I installed it on my Pan Cam v3 and it is working without issues.

Installed on my @#$%^ iPhone, but not available for Android, and the V3 Pro firmware not available yet as others have reported.

I merged bobpiesz’s topic from yesterday and 3 replies to this topic as the beta CPv3 firmware was released yesterday and we had no announcement topic to post to. I merged here without maintaining chronological order to keep Wyze’s announcement as the 1st post. Sorry for any confusion.

What do you mean by “Camera Card Style option”?

Thanks for the Info.

Go to Account > App Settings. You can now set up a Comfortable or Condensed view on the Favorites page. You can even set it for streaming or not.

Ah, OK. Since there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about that in the release notes, how did you even discover that? Or do you have time to poke onto every page in the settings looking for differences that were not mentioned in the limited release notes?

I make it a habit to check to see if anything changed in the account area. Not sure why, but look there first and then the Home screen features.

Friendly Faces still not working in Indiana, has been broken from the original beta versions of 3 and still no resolution. I send in logs, open tickets, post here and on Facebook group. Get “we will look into it” and nothing becomes of it.

I’m not the only one having this issue.

I’m in Indiana and it works for me. I think this issue is un-related to geography. Other states that don’t have this restriction are reporting the same problem I believe.

From whatever device you are using that has the Wyze app loaded, check your IP and the location assigned to that IP. It is most likely not assigned to Indiana.

Still no v3P firmware avail here as well.
I have come to expect a full week between release and android app availability now.
