Updated Android app and a one of each cam model. Wow… it appears that the slow as a salted slug connection issue and -3005 errors are fixed! :+1: Will keep testing before updating firmware on additional cams.

Update: Loaded firmware on 2 of each model. Tested live stream connection related issues under Android 10, 12 and 16 phones and tablets so far. Only tested live stream connection startup speed, live stream stability and made sure all cam settings didn’t mysteriously change. So far… outstanding! Users reporting the live stream connection issues will be pleased. I am, as they plagued me too. Will run a 12-hour live stream test on multiple viewing platforms, some running single stream, some running groups in landscape, before venturing into other app areas.

Update: Live stream testing went well under Android app 3.11.0 (b756). Loading additional cams with beta firmware and also starting testing under iOS/iPadOS app version 3.11.0 (4).

Update: It should be noted that cams loaded with this release’s firmware are inaccessible from Wyze app version 2.50.x and earlier. I.e., if you’re attempting to view cams running this firmware from a 32-bit viewing platform, you’re out of luck.

Updated app to 3.11.0.

Updated:

1- v3 pro

2- v3 Cam Pan

2- v4 (2 others not yet)

All updated successfully. My problem units (repeatable) were the v4’s. The “slow when in a group” appears fixed. The v4’s are fast to load, back to where they were a couple of months ago. I’m holding off updating my remaining v4’s for a couple of days.

Looking good so far:+1:

Android updated here and no issues so far. Don’t expect any.

Updating all of my cameras now

Updated all and tried panning with my Cam Pan v3’s. Previous responses were painfully slow and after a few movements all cameras would go offline for a few minutes. After installing the beta pan controls are responding very quickly and no going offline.

I figured it can’t get any worst, so I went ahead and updated all my cameras. Colour me impressed! I don’t think I’ve seen the cameras load so fast in a group view before.

Way to go Wyze! What you need to do is make a golden master of this firmware and lock it at Fort Knox so you can always fall back.

Now if you can just add the Network change to the V4, full landscape on iPad and full dark mode, you are golden.

I agree…the responsiveness is much different. Even over a weak cell signal.
