Wyze App Group - Turns On Off All devices

I created a group and added my Wyze plugs (about 8) into this group.
This group was added to my favorites.

But when tapping on the group (on the Favorites tab) it turns OFF or ON “all” the plugs in the group.

Is this really the desired behavior for this? (seems very silly).
I was hoping that when tapping on the group it would OPEN the group to see all the plugs in the group.

iPhone XR (iOS 17.6.1)
Wyze App 3.0.0(16)

See attached image.

To open the Plug Group on the Favorites tab in the new app, you tap the near the right edge of the group tile. The contrast isn’t great, so it looks faint and may be difficult to see. Feedback in the topic for the beta version of the next app indicates that they’ve improved color contrast in some areas of the app.

As you’ve discovered, tapping the entire tile (except for that right side) for a Group in Favorites now acts as a toggle.

Yes. Tapping the main area of the Plug group icon turns all grouped Plugs on/off. Tap the “little”, difficult to see arrow to open the group. The contrast between arrow and background has been enhanced for next 3.1 release.

Thanks for the info.
I personally don’t like that tapping on a group affects ALL the devices on the group.

Live and learn.

I would have thought of a group as a better way to access some of your devices w/o having to scroll on the huge device list (on the device tap).

Also, when the group is ON (see attached image) , the little arrow on the right side of the group is really so super hard to see. If you zoom on the image, you can see is there.

The arrow has been enhanced for the next 3.1 release. Follow the link in my post above yours.

This actually is the behavior on the Devices tab, where tapping a Group’s tile will show you the devices in that Group, just as in the v2.5x app, but the new Favorites tab UI is in some ways the opposite of the old Home screen, where in the previous version of the app you could tap a small power button on the right side to toggle an entire Group on or off and tapping the Group name opened the Group itself.

You can actually do this on the Devices tab if you’d prefer to interact with them there, and if you don’t want to scroll your entire list of Devices and Device Groups, then you can long-press-and-drag to rearrange the items on that tab and move your most-used Devices/Groups to the top.

Thanks Crease,
Yes, I sorted my devices on the “device” tab.
I have cameras first, then lights, power plugs, sensors, scale, headphones… .etc
Still the list is long.
I would have hoped for a tabbed approach in the app: a tab for Cams, a tab for Lights, a tab for power plugs, a tab for sensors, and a tab for anything else. Then on each tab you could also sort your devices.

If not already, maybe you should put this into the wish list.

Wyze app engineers: please make the group-wide on/off feature optional. I NEVER want to turn off a group of cameras. Maybe for lights. But this “feature” has caused severe problems for me (long story). I despise this feature with a purple passion.

This is one of the reasons I’ve argued for a change in the interface:
