App installed, don’t have a Cam Pan v2 hooked up.

I use HMS, when I click on the Monitoring tab, it is not dark mode. It appears that the Dark Mode only applies to self monitoring and multi-Cam view.

Is this correct, or am I missing something?

Ditto. No dark mode for me on the monitoring tab.

I remember the good ol days when the monitoring tab was specifically a reward for HMS users…

Now HMS users are always a low priority afterthought :sob:

Probably not a viable revenue stream

I know, it still sucks for those of us who use it. I’m sure they’ll see all our feedback and add it for us too before the launch. They should be able to copy most of the same UI changes.

Installed b657 on 2 android devices.

  • Daily driver Samsung S24 phone on Android 15. No issues.
  • 1 week old Samsung A9+ tablet on Android 14. Within 1 minute of installation had a crash. Blank screen and android pop-up declaring the app had crashed. Cleared app cache and have not seen issue since.

I do see “dark mode” when selecting Monitor Tab. I do not have HMS so no comment.

There is a new feature in Camera > Recent Events. A graphical representation of the events (similar to the Monitor Tab graphics). I’m warming up to it.

So far so good.

At this pace we’ll get a full dark mode in about ten years from now. Way to go Wyze :+1:

Android Wyze app 3.5.0.b657:

Editing Floodlight V1 automation shortcut on the “Favorites” tab is now fixed. See this post for reference. :+1:

That is a nice feature, I wish it was available for the older cams like V3 for example.

Your comment made me look through each of my cameras. I had assumed it was on all of them. It’s not. I know what assumed means :smirking_face::sweat_smile:.

V3 pro - - available
Doorbell v2 - - available
WBCP - - available
P. S. V3 - - not
OG - - not
OG-T - - not
V4 - - available

I’m not ready to call it camera specific. Wyze could be in the middle of a conversion. Give it a couple of weeks

You are very optimistic my friend. I doubt it will ever happen. Wyze always does half ass job.

I installed the beta version onto my Android phone and noticed a different behavior.

I open the app go to the Events tab, for example, view a couple of events and return to the Events list. If I press the phone back arrow, it exits the app. Previously, that back arrow press would return me to the Home tab, not exit.

My question is if this is just a change to how the app works or is it a bug?
@WyzeAndy

I’m not currently using the public beta, so I probably don’t have a lot of room to talk, but as I use the current production app I can see what you’re describing with this:

That’s what I would expect the behavior to be, so it seems like you’re describing a negative change and they’re exacerbating a problem they seemed to introduce with the new app last year:

Hopefully they’ll fix this (the issue you’re describing) prior to promoting this beta to production, and hopefully they’ll also give some consideration to improving the “back” button behavior across the entire app experience.

Thank you for bringing this up. :+1:

Must be an Android thing as I don’t see a back arrow on my iPhone.

I am assuming you are talking about the Back arrow as displayed in the image below with the yellow arrow pointing to it:

If that is the case, I am not experiencing the App closing as indicated. I tap on that and it goes back to the Events page. However, if you are talking about the Event list and then trying to go back, my app does close as well. I use the options at the bottom to get you to each page.

Not that back arrow. Android phones have 3 icons at the bottom of the display. The one on right takes me back one screen in an app. The middle icon closes the app and returns to the phones main screen on the phone.

Ok, I don’t use that method of Navigation on my Android. When I swipe back it does shut the App down, I use the Home option at the bottom when I am on that screen,

I use Samsung Good Lock and One Hand Operation for multiple side swipe bars left and right and yes the app closes. It would be nice to have a little arrow top left or somewhere to go back a page.

I just sorta got used to hitting the button controls at the bottom in the app.

Using iOS on iPad. Monitoring tab never loads.

I seem to remember while viewing SD card footage the ability to tap on an event line on the right side and it would jump to it. Did this last update take that away? I also remember being able to tap right on the date and time and it would open a small calendar where I could select where I wanted to go and that stopped working also.
