I updated the app and it looks really good even for a sceptic like me. However, the favourites tab as someone reported is account based not app based, so any apps not on beta they’ll crap their pants. It just wrecks havoc to other devices.
Going back to production app, too old to deal with this crap.
I’m liking it. I still get an oddball that wants spin, but clear cache, restart phone usually is the worst case to clear. Or just switching to something else in the app and back again sometimes fixes it.
For the pan camera was there any changes to the video side of the house? It’s notes bug fixes so not sure what that includes. But asking as I seem to be getting a worst sun glare then I have in the past.
I would watch it. I have an OG-T that’s pointed at the front door that faces due east. Last week or so (well before I updated to 3.2.0) it started washing out from 7:15am until 7:30. I’m fairly sure it is seasonal.
I don’t know, man in my experience over the last few days even the normal live view in the favorites tabs seems exponentially faster… I have seven cameras Loading almost immediately. I’m honestly blown away by it.
Don’t get me wrong, the app performs well. However, when I set my cams on the favourites page to display in a Condensed Card Style and toggle Autoplay Video Live Streams off it doesn’t transfer to my other devices that are on production version. On those devices the favourites page shows all the cameras in full view and auto stream, so they become useless. I have four devices, two phones and two iPads that I use with the cams. Only one phone and one iPad are on beta. The way the beta app is applying the feature across the board it is useless to me at this point. For that reason I am reverting back to production or I can just remove the cams from the favourites page. Once the app hits production everything should be good. I like what they’ve done with the app so far. Once it goes full dark mode and full landscape it will have 5 out of 5 stars from me
I am on Android 14 and am not seeing what you are seeing. I have 10 cameras in Favorites, a few are in beta, but they all appear as condensed and not live streaming. I also have a group in Favorites with the same 10 cameras. When the group is opened they all live stream as expected.
I stand corrected. After rereading your post for the 4th time I now understand. Your looking at basically 2 apps. One on production and one on beta and your seeing differences.
Hmmmm. I’m going to have to dwell on this for a while. But your right. When in production all will be right.
Not the cams, the feature is useless on previous versions as I can’t have the thumbnails on the favourites tab. It automatically goes to live streaming all the cameras, a feature that was hated by many.
I’m not sure why you would expect settings from a beta version to transfer over into the production version, when the production version doesn’t even have these options to begin with ….
Just like everyone else I was expecting the changes to affect the app so it affects only the device it is installed on. It turns out Wyze made the change on the account level.
Well it took me a while to get to this part of the testing but:
15 V3Pros, updated, and now not a single one will connect to Wyze Web Live.
I didn’t hold one out to compare.
But my V3s, V2s, Doorbell all still connect, These all connect pretty fast once I went in and selected them to be the only ones to show in the WebView.
