I donât yet have a good mental image for a visual representation of passive-aggressive. Maybe a shrug? (I know that shrugs can mean different things in different contexts. Itâs maybe just one possibility here.)

Discourse actually supports using emojis instead of likes, but I assume they arenât enabled because emoji responses are often weaponized by trolly type of people on sites that do allow them, and they are likely to make people feel unwelcome and drive away new users. On the other hand a like is more welcoming. It doesnât really matter how many people dislike someoneâs comment, particularly if it was liked by some.
If I was a mod I would share an anonymized collection of the best comments people have made when they flag a post for attention. I will never be a mod so you will never see these anonymized comments. Think about that. Quietly and anonymously.

Either way.
Thatâs the point, eh? Itâs supposed to be automated!
