This issue was reported some time ago as not working. @R.Good lead the charge to get it listed on April’s Fix it Friday. I believe it was also reported to Amazon.
There are multiple problems with the Alexa Routines integration with the Wyze Skill that have yet to be resolved. This is one. The others were reported during May Fix it Friday.
Anyone has issue with Alexa routine?
I set my motion sensor if no motion detector in 2 mins turn the light off.
It doesn’t work. If I play the routine it can turn off the light.
The motion will turn the light on. But just not off if set a time on with no motion detect.
I also use wyze rule to set up no motion detect to turn off wyze light strip it work.
So anyone has an idea how to fix the problem?
Happy Friday!

We don’t currently have an update for this one. Here’s the info from our last update:
We’re wondering if this is part of the hub firmware issues and we’re working with multiple teams internally to look into it. But for now, here’s the information request from last week. This issue is really hard to track down without info from our community, so please help us out!
For this one, we would love to have a log and hub firmware version so we can look into it. Please recreate the issue and then send in a log that includes the date, time, and time zone of the trigger failure as well as a detailed description of your routine and which parts worked versus didn’t work. Please post the log number here when you have it so we can send it to the team!
For the last month, the Amazon Alexa Wyze Skill has stopped working for setting new and editing existing routines with my Wyze cameras. I have used the Wyze skill in the past and have a few routines set up through Alexa (i.e. turning on lights when motion is detected. ) Those continue to work, though I am unable to edit them. In any attempt to modify any existing routine, the message appears: “Please update your Cloud Cam Subscription to enable this routine”. However, all subscriptions are u…
Until very recently, I could use my Wyze cameras to “filter” motion detection to specifically Person Detection only. This made it so I could have the lights in my office turn on ONLY when a person is detected, vs. our cats which don’t count for “pet immune” motion detectors because they jump into chairs and on top of tables etc.
Now when I go into Alexa to set up any routine for Wyze, it basically just blanks out. I have to cancel the request or the app itself crashes. Granted, the routine I ha…
