Well, the first two of their techs told me to use Firefox and not Chrome, telling me that it does not work in Chrome. Then once I told them I had been using Firefox, they then said that I need to use Chrome, as it will not work in Firefox.
Sounds like phone-level representatives, not actual programmers.
I’ve used it in 3 major browsers and it seems to work similarly, including my current problem of not being able to see Event thumbnails until I hover over them (Live view works fine).
I never had any problems with it in Firefox till I subscribed to Cam Plus, then I was blocked from viewing my camera by Wyze.
Just because it wasn’t working doesn’t mean you were actively being blocked. It’s much more likely that there is a conflict between the Wyze system and the components within your system.
@WyzeWendy, what is the Web View team doing to address the issue with event thumbnails in Google Chrome? ![]()
Good call. I’m now seeing those on Google Chrome 149.0.7827.115. ![]()

Now I’m seeing that this must’ve been resolved 2-3 weeks ago according to other user reports in Web Portal Event thumbnails have been grayed-out since 4/23/26, but I haven’t caught up with that topic until just now.
For me too, but now I’m not seeing the AI descriptions.
I’ve noticed the changes, but as of a few days ago I must have gotten a newer release. The cameras are refreshing every few seconds and then they all fail to load. I’m guessing the APIs are getting hit too often by the camera’s auto refreshing and causing a temporary lockout.
On top of that, the cameras refresh to the lower resolution.
On top of that, the web view doesn’t keep the camera’s open when the chrome tab is not active.
Additionally, this is the same issue we saw months ago! I don’t get how we’re going backwards and it is royally frustrating! The only thing I’ve noticed to be “fixed” over the months ago version is a tab memory leak. That was fixed a long time ago though so I except it to come back soon. I have no idea what y’all are TRYING to do, but it is not working as the web view is so badly coded.
I stuck around last time, but I cannot say the same since y’all are unable to progress without taking major steps backwards for literally no reason. I guess this is what happens when AI rules the world…
Edit: I’m referring to strictly the overview live preview page. This is what I look at daily.
What’s happening with the webview today? I log in and it keeps returning to the login page.
I’m getting the same thing today. Takes you back to the login screen.
Yup. Same here. I haven’t timed it, but I think it’s every two or three minutes.
Now the entire web view is redirecting to the login page after logging in…I’m exhaused.
I just noticed that the last hour of the day, events are not showing up in the WYZE web view/portal page. The last hour of the day being 11pm to midnight central time. The events are all their in the app on my Android smart phone, but not in the WZYE (not so smart) web view/portal page. This hold true on my v3 and v4 cams that capture motion in that hour.
Is anyone else observing this same behavior?
I am not. Looking at last night’s events in Wyze Web Portal, I see multiple entries between 11 p.m. and midnight, including Cam v4 (I have no Cam v3).
Ah, further testing proves it has to do with the filter. For instance, if I filter events for a single day from 10pm to 11:59pm, then nothing from 11pm to 11:59pm shows up.
Edit, even a single day filter from 8pm to 11:59pm results in nothing after 10:59pm.
Edit, even a single day filter from 12pm to 11:59pm results in nothing after 10:59pm.

My.wyze.com browser warnings
Please, please make the warning we get on Macs when we use Safari to access “my.wyze.com” dismissible (meaning I can check a box and never see that warning again unless I clear my cache. I’m not going to download Chrome.
It’s beyond annoying that the giant banner comes up every single time I go to that site.
[Mod Note]: Your topic was merged to this product/service Wyze News announcement topic for better visibility to Wyze.
I’m getting the same problem the last couple of days
Using my saved login information, it seems accepted, then to a page of ‘All things wyse, one portal’ with a ‘login in web portal’ that I just clicked
time after time until I give up
Android app is working fine ![]()
Spent some time on their AI chat feature, seems its known as “WebView Loop” that some people have reported
Went through the list of things I may of changed
I haven’t changed anything
I’ll check back occassionally to see if it corrected, but since I I mainly use the webview on my desktop … I’ll just have to see what else if available … I just don’t need the aggravation
