By interim firmware, do you mean the firmware that the dev team is developing on top of currently? From our official release notes page, the latest firmware was released on November 6, 2023 where it broke cooldown time logic. Our dev team has identified the potential problem and is working on the firmware fix. Will keep you posted on the testing results and release plan.
Thanks! I assume there will be a firmware update soon to also add the new sightsafe feature to the WCOs like has been added to every other camera model. Hopefully this new feature fix will make it in to get fixed at the same time since I assume the camera model already has a planned update coming.
Hello @WyzeLi, I was referring to making available the last known good firmware for the base and WCO v1 & v2 that were known to work (allow for the cooldown to stay at ‘no cooldown’ for Cam Plus Subscribers.)
But, if a beta of a firmware is close at hand, then I’m fine with waiting for that new firmware.
I thought your entire test back in April 2025 disproved this.
Furthermore, I believe @jozefd14 reverted back to WCOv2 4.48.4.418 (Jan 4 2023) and Base Station 4.16.4.496 (Oct 19 2023) firmware and still experienced the 1 minute cooldown issue.
I do have some good news to share. Last few weeks, we’ve found the root cause on base station firmware and last week we had the fix firmware and I verified that it’s working properly. Our QA team will test the firmware this week and if all test cases pass, we will release it to beta testing next week.
I really appreciate Wyze’s attention to this. Thank you @WyzeLi for the informative follow ups, and to @CatHome for being the torch bearer for the cause
Eight of my WCO’s are on the shelf, getting charged up, ready to deploy as soon as the firmware is available for the Base Station to resolve the Cooldown Option:
