Still cannot connect to my cameras when not on my home WIFI

Something to think about which is happening on my end is,

I can view the live streams using cellular network using my Samsung a20, but when I got my a21 I could not.

So I tested it out by switching my SIM card back to the a20 and sure enough I can view the live stream without having to use the Wi-Fi.

I even downloaded the app on my sister’s iPhone and she can view the live streams without having to use Wi-Fi.

I’m sure there’s many issues as to why this is happening but I wanted to tell you mine specifically so maybe that would help you guys out.

So many variables.

Hope someone is writing this down.

Thank you for that info, I have passed it up to the team.

I’m sure you know but I’ve read several articles that Android 12 could be the issue which is what my phone runs on, then again many others on the forums that have Android 12 have no problems just thought I’d mention that in case.

Nope. I still agree with what I said. Networking is too complex for most people to understand or deal with.

To clarify that further, there are things out of control of the cams. If its within control of Wyze, fine. But, aspects where it fails to work, the cam or Wyze may not be at fault and most people won’t be able to deal with that. They would then need to get someone who can or just move on from the product.

Wonder if v4 cam fixes this remote connectivity issue?

From the limited communication from Wyze about this issue, it seems like an app issue, not a camera issue.

I’m definitely not buying more Wyze cams until they fix this issue affecting the cams I already own.

I see they are working on this but it has been 6 or 7 weeks now… This really needs more attention, but I am guessing it is a smaller number of accounts affected. I think this is related to the fix they made for showing other peoples camera footage?

It could be… the issue seemed to pop up for me around that time.

You can vote for it as a priority item in the Fix-It-Friday thread.

Just scanning thru this post to see what you have tried.
I presume you have tried deleting the app, restart smartphone, and then reinstalling the app, and also tried accessing from a different smartphone on tablet?

They said they are working on it.

Yes, even purchased a new phone and router… Some issue on their end!

Quite a major malfunction. They better find a solution. This defeats the purpose of having a remote camera.

I would agree. I haven’t had that issue from anyplace I have been. I will try it from New York State tomorrow. :airplane:

Same issue still happening on my end. No problem viewing my cams using home network but as soon as I connect to either mobile data or my freinds home network, the error 20 all the way to error 200 occurs. The only way to do a quick peek of my cameras is by clearing the application cache… but once the app stored a cache, the error goes back again. .

Why is this still an issue? Sitting at the dealership while vehicle is being serviced and tested on both cellular (full signal) and dealership’s wifi…nothing other than error codes -27 on every camera.

Maybe someone needs to determine if a batch or some common thread is the cause.

I personally have not seen any issues locally or overseas. We need internet in space or on the moon next to test this further.

No luck
