I have 2 thermostats and 2 cameras installed and all were working fine until a few days ago. Both thermostats are now showing Device Offline. Cameras still work. I tried resetting each thermostat as well as the router. Tried setting the router for split band operation and verified the 2.4Ghz band was working by having my phone and computer connect to that network. Called Wyze for help. They had me factory reset one of the thermostats and go through installation process. Got to the point of pairing the app with the thermostat on bluetooth. Failed pairing every time. Checked bluetooth on the phone to see if the thermostat shows up, and it was not. Tried multiple times with no success. Support gave up and said the thermostat has reached it’s EOL! Now I have one unit I can’t even get to work manually!! Does anyone on this forum have any thoughts on what’s going on here? I can’t believe that both devices would fail at the same time?
Did anything change? … new router, new internet service?
Was there a power outage?
Usually the solution to a “Device Offline” is to power cycle the Thermostat … either turn the breaker OFF/ON or pull the thermostat off the wall and plug back in.
No changes, and restarted router and thermostats multiple times. However, I have some new information. One of the suggestions from support is to try another phone. It turned out the app was installed on my wife’s phone last year and I was able to add the device on her phone and that worked. So, there seems to be something on my phone. I went ahead and uninstalled the app and reinstalled. When I logged into my account, the devices came up, but when I clicked on the thermostat, it came up ok for about 5 secs then went offline! I’ll keep looking to see if there is a setting somewhere that is causing this issue. My wife’s phone still works fine.
What type of phone do you have and what OS version?
There have been reports of the Thermostat showing as offline on Android 17 Beta.
Wondering if it is the latest app 3.21.1.962 (September 3, 2026)
All 3 of my thermostats are offline. Tried to reset one and now can’t re-add it or even delete the old instance in the app. Seems like the Wyze server isn’t responding.
Update: I installed Wyze on an old android tablet and it controls thermostats with no issues. Not working on Android 17 pixel 10a - Tried uninstall reboot and re-install with no luck.

There seems to be a problem with the Thermostat showing as “Device Offline” on Android 17.
I don’t have Android 17 but @LottaWdevices has reported the problem on full Android 17 here and others reported with some versions of Android 17 beta in Wyze Thermostat Offline on Android Only - Home - Wyze Forum
Can you help bring this to the attention of Wyze Support?
