The Device Info screen looks just like the one shown on the non working phone. The Plug-in version is 3.21.0.1. On the working phone, the fields on that screen are populated and the device plugin version is still 3.21.0.1. App permission on both phones are the same. Both phones are Pixel 8 Pro.
FYI this was posted in Wyze app 3.22 - Released 9/16/2026 - Wyze News - Wyze Forum
Not sure about that. Both of my phones are Pixel 8 Pro running Android 17. One works the other does not.
It is puzzling why one works and the other doesn’t.
Are you signed on to the Wyze App on both phones with the same account or are you sharing the Thermostat?
Both are logged into the same account.
Are you talking about the thermostat? Or you don’t see anything in the app. All my devices are behaving as intended EXCEPT for the thermostat
. It might be the end of it ![]()
Sorry … I’m out of ideas for workarounds.
Will have to see what Wyze Support finds.
Also Samsung is starting to rollout Android 17 so will see if it’s a Pixel only problem. I have an S23 so probably won’t be offered the update until October sometime.
I have 2 cameras and 2 thermostats setup in the app. The cameras are fine on both cameras. The thermostats are not communicating with my phone only. The other phone is fine. That tells me the thermostat themselves are ok. Have you tried another phone?
Thanks for all your inputs. I’ll keep poking around while I wait for Wyze Support. If I find anything, I will post it here.
Hi everyone, I am sorry you are having these issues, we are looking into this currently and I will post in here with any updates.
Can confirm, the last Android update broke the apps connection to the thermostat. It shows online on the device list, but tapping the device goes to an offline screen. My first phone ran an Android update. Right after it installed, it broke the connection. I checked my other phone, it worked. There was an Android update available, so I ran the android update on the working phone, that one broke. My third phone, which no longer gets Android updates, still works. If you reset the thermostat and try and go through the new device setup process with a phone that has been updated, it will pass the bluetooth pairing process but fail the wifi connection process. I tried a previous signed version of the Wyze app on my updated and broken test phone, and that didn’t fix it. It is definitively connected to the latest Android update. At least I still have one device that can still connect. Both non-working devices are Pixels, a 9 and a 7 PRO.
Yes, my Pixel 3XL which runs on Android 12 and stopped being upgraded to Android new releases. All good on that phone. Lucky I can use it. I can confirm that ALL Android version 17 have the problem with the Thermostat ONLY after the last Wyze app release. Before the last release all good with the Thermostat on Android 17. Something broke the thermostat “back”
The rest of the devices are fine with the last Wyze app update. Very weird.
