Service Advisory - Device list not updating - 11/29/22

11/29/22 6:22 PM PT - Our metrics are looking good and we’re not receiving new contacts about this issue. We believe that this is resolved though we’ll keep an eye on our metrics. If you’re still having difficulty with your Wyze app or devices, please reach out to support.wyze.com.

5:42 PM PT - We see partial recovery on most of our systems and our metrics are still improving. This is not fully recovered but we’re getting toward that point and are seeing support contacts slow down and positive reports from community members. Thank you for your patience during this time.

4:57 PM PT - We are continuing to work on the backed up traffic and are taking measures from our side so we can catch up. We’ll continue updating this page as we progress.

4:26 PM PT - We identified a problem leading to failed device list updating with error code -1 or -999 depending on Android or iOS devices. We are waiting for the built-up traffic and caches to clear but folks are reporting improvement already. We appreciate your patience and everyone that let us know about this problem.

Tried looking at cams asked me to log in. Error connecting to server. Then one time it let me in no devices. Says to add device.

Connection to server is gone here too. I cant control any of my devices through my Google assistant because the Wyze devices cant be reached. Wyze app just stays stuck on a green screen.

Initially error code 999, followed by 1010, the 1011 encountered here. Viewed app connected via home video, and also over mobile 4G with similar results.

Devices on our system are mostly offline apart from a pan cam V1, and one of six V2 Wyze Cams are online.

Firmware update section of app displays “there are no devices linked to this account”

Cannot provide/send any error logs via the app

Then I’ll just be in the dark. (I was sort of joking)

…But mine are set to go onto the last color during an outage, so even unplugging only turns back on party mode. (will need to put in non smart bulbs)

I also noticed I am not even able to get to the Wyze login page on their website now - Account – Wyze

It just hangs and never fully loads. Eventually I get 504 Gateway Time-out

The app completely stopped working now as well, before I was getting an error after it loaded, now it just hangs on the Wyze logo splash screen.

After all my devices disappeared I tried to log out and in again, but now I’m being told my password is wrong (it’s not) and I can’t even log in now. I decided to see what happens when I click on the “Forgot password?” link and when I put in my email to get a verification code, I get a message saying “We were unable to send a verification email to [my email].”
