Yeah. They should hurt on this one and if we don’t move, they’ll just keep doing the same thing. Maybe it’s coincidence but Ring and Arlo have discounts on their cameras today. I have a Ring doorbell and Ring Car camera so I’ve chosen to go with Ring/Amazon. Trying three of them so we’ll see. Easy returns make it a no brainer. Today’s debacle with this continual five year dumpster fire with Wyze updates and bricking cameras has sent me over the edge. So, look on Amazon and choose your poison. Arlo would be great since it works with Apple HomeKit but their issues make me shy away.
Yup all my V2 Outdoor Cam, Base Stations and Pan;s are down and can’t connect after the update
Add me to the list –all cameras cannot connect.
1/17/24 - 12:18 PM PT - Our metrics show that devices are slowly coming back online while we continue to work with one of our partners to find the root cause. Thank you for submitting logs to help us and most of all thank you for your continued patience.
“Partners” = China
One of the cameras is working again and the application now displays an additional icon for monitoring services (v3 cam)
All 5 of my cams are back up mix of v2 and v3.
My v3 is back online, had previously downgraded this morning to 7095 firmware so thats what its running.
All of mine (v3) are back up, two of them I had to Restart the camera via the app, the others I was able to connect to as normal.
Thanks for posting. Working on all mine now also.
Same here. My mix of cameras are all working again also.
My V3 cam is up and running. However, my two V2 cams are still down. Wondering if they’ll be a different fix for V2.
I had the same, but they slowly came back in waves. All back up in my case. Didn’t have to “power cycle [my] device”
1/17/24 1:38 PM PT - Our metrics are showing most devices should be recovered, however, we will continue to keep a close eye on them. We apologize for the issues and thank you for your patience and help. If you continue to experience connectivity difficulty, please reach out to Wyze Customer Support.
Same here. V3s came back but V2s showing offline even though they are plugged in.
This is even after support is indicating things are fixed.
Things are still coming back online and we are still monitoring.
This is true with the exception of my two Wyze Cam V2. I certainly hope I don’t need to drive to that location AGAIN to physically restart them. Both are now failing to even remotely restart.
I hope so too. We are hoping everything comes back on its own and are continuing to watch everything. There are times when some will need physically restarted but I am not ready to say that quite yet.
I have just one wyze cam, an outdoor V2. It came back online just a few minutes ago!
I turned off those automatic updates for firmware. Will update firmware only after they have aged a day or two.
