Interesting, it seems not everyone is seeing this issue then. Have you tried restating the floodlight, restarting the camera, and the reset services button?
This is just to update that Google and Alexa connectivity are now fixed with the latest beta V3 firmware 4.36.13.0416.
@IL1 It is possible there are different hardware version for the old Floodlight V1 so maybe thatās why yours is working fine. It was confirmed a while ago that any firmware after 4.36.9.139 introduced no audio playback when connected the old Floodlight V1. At the time, I tested every single firmware and was able to replicate the issue every time. Many users had to make a choice between either staying at the old firmware or forgoing audio playback on the new firmware.
It wasnāt until V3 beta firmware 4.36.12.9751 that fixes this specific issue, but like I mentioned above the beta firmware introduced a new behavior with the V3 camera when there is more than 30min of internet outage.
I updated to v4.36.11.8391 on 07/18/24 and audio is now being recorded onto the SD card. I havenāt noticed any major issues.
UPDATE: Iām actually running 4.36.13.0416.
Does it work through playback or when taking it out of the camera and playing it on a computer? Iāve been on v4.36.11.8391 for about a month and my playback still doesnāt have sound.
I mad an error in the version number. Iām actually running v4.36.13.0416. It works through my iPhone. I havenāt checked directly reading the SD card.
Mine updated to 4.36.13.0416 as well and the audio is now present when playing back from the SD card.
Have they pushed the update to the public yet, or are you on some kind of self-host program, and can get update sooner?
The 4.36.13.0416 was released as beta on July 8. It was released officially on July 18, but my cameras didnāt get the update so I manually flashed it via micro SD.
Just to update in regards to the ānew behaviourā, I managed to workaround it by setting local NTP server on my router.
Mine seemed to update after the app updated to version 3. I donāt even recall approving the firmware. It seemed to automatically do it when the app updated.
You might have automatic firmware update enabled on your Floodlight V1. I think it is enabled b default. Personally, I would disable it to be on the safe side especially if it is difficult to physically access it and you want to rollback. It is located in Settings > Device info > Firmware Version > Automatic Update
Itās never done that Iām the past and the other v3 cams appeared to have updated as well. I do see that automatic update is configured now. I figured it was just a glitch when the app updated to version 3.0.0. Iām just happy that the floodlight has sound now.
