Have also been experiencing this for a few weeks now at this point, but the only other thing I’ll add is that after 1 minute of playback I will hear a loud, screeching sound (like a higher-pitched digital version of when you would unplug a stereo cable and get a little feedback). It then happens consistently after every minute of playback, always at the 2-second mark (i.e. 1:00:02, 1:01:02, 1:02:02, etc).
Only thing you can do is revert back to the firmware all of us did.
Yea this is my same exact experience as well you’re experiencing the same thing we were only thing that works is reverting the firmware back.
Was there a firmware update ? Or yours just randomly started working ?
all my v3 floodlights cannot record audio, I am surprised that Wyze haven’t fixed the issue for a few months (do we know if they’ve ever tried to?).
I know some people decided to switch, and I am seriously thinking of switching boat.
My floodlight audio came back and was working fine around late July, Now I’m currently having a issue where I cannot access any of the floodlight settings and it’s as if I don’t have one installed. I’ve power cycled multiple times for it to work for a few hours and then go back to not working. The brightness for my floodlight is at full power too it’s very annoying and I’m honestly over Wyze at this point

Same issue here, but it appears that the 4.36.9.139 firmware is no longer available for download…anyone have a working download link or a copy they could share?

I just performed the firmware flash to 4.36.9.139 and I now have sound with SD card playback. Coincidently, it also resolved an issue where the events are glitchy in the first few seconds (where the action takes place). It is honestly pathetic that they can’t or won’t fix this issue when it’s as simple as referencing an old firmware.

I know updating to old firmware works, but I am bumping this thread hoping that someone at Wyze will see and make this right.
Also replying to Mods post in hope this can get attention at Wyze. The pre and post problem firmware have been IDed. The community has done some hard work on this. Its up to Wyze now…
I agree. I’m really unhappy about this. I wouldn’t have bought all these if I’d known this was an issue.

I can update that when I removed the Wyze Cam V3 from the Floodlight the playback audio works now with the latest beta 4.36.11.8135. However, when I reconnected it back to the Floodlight the audio playback is gone.
Appreciate your work on this. I see you said there was a firmware that fixed it passed mays of 2022. Looks like you said .2864 which is November of 2022 fixed the issue ?
That’s with the camera plugged into a wyze floodlight as well right ? It had audio playback on the sd card and everywhere else ?

Sorry I had to double check before confirming again with you. Now I have everything setup 4.36.10.2864 also exhibited the same issue. Lol I forgot to plug it in the Floodlight. Stay on 4.36.9.139 and do not update. Sorry for the false information. I am going to delete my previous post.
I am hesitant to try 4.36.10.2700 because there were reports of having lots of issue with it. It got so bad that Wyze had to pause that firmware and removed it.
I tested the following firmware and they all have no audio playback with Wyze Cam V3 Floodlight:

Hi thanks for testing. Could you please provide me some devicelog for this floodlight camera? Also the live can show audio ok, just no audio on playback right?

This issue is 100% repro for all of us, and it has been there for months, if not years.
Once flashed to latest firmware, it repros.
Once flashed to THE earlier firmware (cannot remember the exact number now), it works fine.
Have you tried to repro it internally? What have you found out?
