That’s what I did, too.
fixed it from an actual comp so it leads directly to the video. For some reason my phone wouldn’t let me hot link it last night. Something with the speedup converter I use makes it so I can’t play it directly on the forums it’s something with the type it’s in and I didn’t think to convert it.
Nice clarity. And the Redwinged Blackbird. I get those, too.
Makes me want to get one. Maybe sometime.
I’d like the lens as a separate accessory also. I’ve done lens focus adjustments for inside my birdhouse, feeder, etc, but a clip-on macro would be easier for the future if I want to replace one of the cameras.
They did this back in May:
Which cam is used with the feeder?
Now I remember that ilthe focus is more on the food rather than the perch. The yellow finch is more in focus because it’s the same distance as the food.
Everybody else has pretty birds come to their feeder. I basically have brown common house finches/swallows for 90% of my visitors.
Ah thanks, I did miss that!
Aww, I guess you’ll have to move.
I wish it would focus on both.
I am using the Battery Cam Pro.
Easy install, works with multiple Wyze cams One lens to rule them all. Our lens bracket, while not universal to every cam, was designed to fit: Wyze Battery Cam Pro, Cam v3/v3 Pro/v4, and Cam Outdoor v1/v2.
You can now get the monocle lens to use on your existing camera for closer pictures. My Wyzw Feeder has a v4.
Sparrows are crowding the Wyze Bird Feeder. It was a busy bird day for sparrows. I got 3 hours of sparrows on the Wyze feeder and 6 hours of the flock on my platform feeder, You can see the platform in the background here.
Same here. I’m jealous ![]()
Plus birdseed is becoming an expense. It took 2 months to see our first bird. Now we get a bird every 10 minutes. But they’re a bit boring, except when the twins fight.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I may have to try one out. I had thought about setting a magnifying glass in front of it, haha. Will have to look in my box of photography gadgets. I think I still have some old marco lenses.
The biggest issue with the V4 is the length of the videos and the raw number of events. I am seeing 5 minute videos with a minimal cool down period in between. Seems the camera is streaming non stop. Not sure if Wyze is happy recording these long events and I’m not sure my network likes the blabber mouth camera in the bird Feeder.
I’ve also had a BCP installed. My work around was to limit the recordings to 1 minute with a 5 minute cooldown.
I like the V4 resolution and with continuous on the SD card I’m able to see the birds approach.
Are you seeing similar results with your V4? Thinking if a wishlist request would be appropriate.
