Whenever I see one of these cameras with the Bird Feeder’s Lens Bracket on it, I think of how much Wyze cameras can look like Minions and wonder why special edition yellow cams haven’t been released (maybe because the blue Cam v3s apparently weren’t popular enough and eventually had to go on crazy clearance).

Just in case you hadn’t already seen this:

I never got an email about that. Cool. I’d like to see if anyone has used it yet or not.

Currently using it on a V4 doing time lapses of plants growing. And it’s working out wonderfully! This was the first time I’ve used the monocle on something other than the battery camera and I’m extremely impressed.

Looks good. Do you have any in color as well? Thanks.

Please post your time-lapse videos when the growing is completed.

Am I missing something? The photo with the lens looks almost exactly the same as the photo without the lens.

Interesting. Looks like the same pic, except the bottom one is slightly more in focus and the top feathers are a bit higher. Otherwise, the positon is identical.

@TomG,

Are you sure your examples are different shots? If so I’m amazed you could get 2 shots almost exactly the same. Considering that you would have one shot with the monicle on, and one shot without. The monicle should be in focus for a few inches, beyond that the background should be blurry. out of focus.

That was a screen capture from the Wyze ad. I do not own the adapter.

I think the bird on the shot with the lens is more in focus and has more detail.

No…

…in that before/after, though. Good for them.

Regarding birds, I saw this pic elsewhere.

Let me get those tomorrow. I did some moving around this morning before I saw this response so I did not get those. But I will gather some in the morning. I’m putting in my calendar right now. Are there any types of situations you’re looking for specifically? Keep in mind that this is on a V4 and I don’t have it fastened to anything so if you want to see an indoors or outdoors whatever you want I can get you the best scenario I can try and see how you like it.

Currently I’m just doing day or night times randomly. Nothing very long. I have a lot of friends that are amazed at how much plants move in general over even just a small 8-hour time frame.

Due to the size I have to share it through Dropbox but you get the idea. From my phone I’m having trouble doing the hyperlink so here’s the full thing lol sorry

FWIW, I was able to play this in a separate browser tab by copying the link, but it’s not playing for me directly from the post (I tried in two different browsers). I wonder if this would help:

What trance music are you going to add to give it some zip?

With Firefox, right click then ā€œOpen Video in New Tabā€ works. Doesn’t work in Chrome.

Very nice. I would include some waltz music to it. : )

That’s why I wrote this:

In Chrome, I can right-click the video and click Copy video address from the pop-up menu, then open a new tab and paste the URL into the address bar to watch it. Firefox essentially does the same thing as you described without requiring the manual copy/paste.

It’s not playing like an embed directly within the post, though, and that’s what I was pointing out for @Bam.
