It’s largely speculation, but I think the timing fits.
After reading this and a seemingly related topic last night, I went through a bunch of my Cams and did this exercise:
- Navigate to Settings ➜ Reset. I also did a Restart after that for good measure.
- Confirm live stream connection.
- Tap Settings ➜ Event Recording ➜ All Events ➜ Customize Detections.
- Deselect Other Motion and/or Other Sounds in the “NOTIFY” column.
- Return to the previous screen.
- Tap Smart Detection Events ➜ Customize Recordings.
- Confirm my desired selections for “NOTIFY”.
Part of the issue I was experiencing is that I was receiving “Complete Motion Detected” notifications when I wasn’t expecting those (I’m using a subscription), and I had to turn off “Other Motion” because I want notifications only for specific kinds of events. I had also just changed subscriptions around this same time, so that may have been an additional factor in my own experience, but that’s also speculation on my part.
