[Fix-It Friday Callout] Well my Forum friends, we made it to Friday! :grinning: You know what that means. it means it is time for this month’s Fix-It-Friday callout! :tada: If this is your first Fix-It Friday, welcome! For background, while our communities are not designed to be a replacement for Wyze Support , our community members and community managers do our best to help you out here. As our communities scale up, we want to make sure that any outstanding bugs or issues that you folks are facing are on our internal radar and that we’re transparent in our process of working on them. Here’s how this works: We’ll make a post on the first Friday of the month in every community (Core Community on Facebook, Forums, Reddit, and Discord). Check the comments. If you see any other comments with issues that you’re facing, vote for them with a like (the heart button at the bottom of their reply) Got something new? Reply to our post with the top issue that you’re facing this week with your Wyze products to help loop us in. We’ll grab the top comment from each community and make a follow-up post on Monday to detail what those issues are and how we plan to fix them. If we need more info from the community to help figure out what’s going on, we’ll let you know on Monday - so please make sure to take a look! The following Mondays in the month, we’ll be posting updates about our progress on Fix-It Friday submissions. Sometimes Mondays are actually Tuesdays if we don’t get all the info we need on time for posting on Monday. Our apologies! Remember, this is for existing things that aren’t working right. If you are looking for a new feature or for us to add functionality that’s not already available, please use our Wishlist instead! We’re constantly working on improvements for everyone. But we hope that this process will both help us prioritize issues that are important to our communities and help you feel more in the loop. Got a request for something new or an additional feature? Check our Wishlist to see if it’s in the works or has been requested. :slightly_smiling_face: If you want to see how this works, you can check this previous Fix-It Friday post: [image] Fix-It Friday 9/1/2023 Wyze News [Fix-It Friday Callout] Well my Forum friends, we made it to Friday! grinning You know what that means. it means it is time for this month’s Fix-It-Friday callout! tada If this is your first Fix-It Friday, welcome! Hi, everyone! :grinning: It’s a new month! So please make sure to vote for November bug submissions. We had to delay our posting last month due to low participation over the voting weekend. We’d prefer not to do that again, so please vote! But for this week, here are your updates for the entries from October: :ocean: Reddit - Unable to stream cameras in Google Home :ocean: If you’re experiencing this issue, could you please let us know if you have Cam Plus on those cameras? We have found an improvement to make for 3rd party integrations and we’re working on that with Google now. We aren’t sure when they’ll be able to put a fix in yet, but we’ll keep you posted! :musical_note: Discord - When listening to music and then viewing a camera group, the music stops for a few seconds and then plays again even with audio turned off in the group :musical_note: We’re continuing to work on the platform unity portion of this. In the meantime, we’d also like to check into the Android disconnection issue with 3rd party music apps! If you’re experiencing this, please give us your phone model, OS version, and what app is having trouble. We checked with a few Android users and are currently unable to reproduce this problem ourselves. :raised_hand: Forum - Wyze Cam Pan v3 will not reconnect after it loses the connection :raised_hand: We’re wanting to check this out and could use the MAC address to check logs! Please send your camera MAC (Wyze app > Livestream > Camera Settings > Device Info) in a support ticket through support.wyze.com and then provide the ticket number to us. We’ve been checking on the submitted logs and will share more info when we have it! - Let’s Take a Look at Some Previous Submissions - :black_square_button: Forum - Wyze Cam v2 Detection Zone reverted to a box instead of a grid :black_square_button: Alright! We were able to find what caused this issue a few weeks back and have fixed it. Is anyone still experiencing this problem? If so, please speak up now! Otherwise, we’ll remove this from the update list next week. Facebook - Cam Plus subscribers unable to filter Events  It looks like this issue was fixed in app version 2.46 (which is probably why we’re having trouble reproducing it). If you’re still having trouble with this issue on the updated app, please tell us now! We’ll be removing this from our update list next week if we don’t hear from anyone. :clock4: Discord - Camera time and notification time do not match :clock430: This can be resolved manually by changing your cell phone’s time zone to a different one, leaving it in the other time zone for 5 - 10 minutes, and then changing it back. But we’ve heard that this needs to be done each time some of you go into different time zones. We’re trying to put in a more permanent fix and could use your assistance! If this happens to you again after doing this workaround, please submit logs and a screenshot with both times displayed. We’ll have the developers take a look! Here are the log instructions: Recreate the issue. Then in the Wyze app, go to Account > Wyze Support > Submit a Log. Select your device from the dropdown menu. Then fill in the description box with the date, time, and time zone of the most recent time you noticed this issue and a description of what’s happening. Make sure the Send Logs option is selected and then submit your log. When you have the log number, please post it here as a reply to me so I can get it to the right folks. :vertical_traffic_light: Forum - Wyze Cam v3 Pro status light is not working properly, light will turn on when motion is detected but not recording and according to documentation it is only supposed to turn red when recording :vertical_traffic_light: We have been testing this firmware in beta! Beta testers, if you’re having any trouble with it, please let us know! :unamused: Reddit - Event playback in the app is stuttering :unamused: We could use some screen recordings for this problem! When we are through our security updates, we’ll begin work on resolving this. Thanks for your patience! :house: Reddit - Wyze Cam Pan v3 does not return to set home position :house: We have identified other bugs on the firmware that addresses the Waypoint drift issue. Because of this, we haven’t been able to go to beta yet. Due to the security patches that we’ve been allocating our resources to, we have a pushed back timeline for beta. Our most recent plan shows the beta release beginning around the end of November. As always, we’ll keep you in the loop about any changes! :negative_squared_cross_mark: Core - Error 3001 is happening on cameras such as Wyze Cam v2 :negative_squared_cross_mark: We got a report of 3001 happening on updated cameras, so we’re looking into the logs for this. If this is happening to you, please let us know! :cam_v3: Discord - Wyze Cam v3 does not stay connected to the Spotlight accessory :cam_v3: We don’t have a further update for this one yet. We’ll let you know when a fix heads to QA! At this point, we’re still checking on the submitted logs. Thanks for reading! We hope you have a lovely weekend. Don’t forget to vote for Fix-It Friday topics before Monday!

Some cameras using the new UI on IOS only show limited menu items. [image] Wyze Battery Cam Pro Firmware Beta Test 9/28/2023 Beta On IOS app 2.46.0 (2) my BCP (as well as FLP, but no other cams) are only able to see 4 items in the menu. The SD card and siren buttons are missing. I am unable to scroll this menu side to side like I used to be able to. [IMG_0123]

Wyze Battery Cam Pro Firmware Beta Test 9/28/2023 On IOS app 2.46.0 (2) my BCP (as well as FLP, but no other cams) are only able to see 4 items in the menu. Is this issue limited to the beta iOS app? I don’t see this issue in production iOS 2.45.5 (4).

I’m on 2.46.0 (2). So far only me and one other user have experienced this, so there are definitely more variables involved.

Are both of you that are experiencing this on the Beta app or is it confirmed to happen in Production also?

Normally we would grab the results of the bugs reported that are affecting the most people. This month there has been a lack of new bugs reported. I know we have not fixed them all yet, so if you have some bugs causing you issues and want to make sure we know about please post about it in here so we can get the ones affecting the most people on the list. We will gather up the new issues on Wednesday morning this week.

FWIW, I just tested it and the condition remains as I described. Android app 2.45.6 (361) [image] Wyze app 2.44 - Released 8/1/2023 Wyze News Android. Subscribed to Cam Plus Lite. Events. Person filter button at top left of Events List cannot be deselected. If enter Filter section, Person (under Cam Plus Only section) cannot be deselected. If Clear All at top right of section, Person IS deselected - but CANNOT BE RESELECTED, neither in the Filter section nor via button at top left of Events List. The only way I’ve found to display those Events tagged Automation is to deselect Person and Motion via the buttons at top left of Even… [image] Wyze app Android Hotfix #2 - 8/8/2023 Wyze News I have Cam Plus Lite and with the latest app versions am unable to filter by Person from both the Events page and the Filter page. The problem is described here: Unable to select event filters. Android V2.44.1 (326) I have submitted diagnostic log # 1140662. Someone else has posted a screen recording of the issue on the other thread. If it would help the techs research the problem, I could send a screen recording too - if so, let me know who to send it to and if there is any size limit. [image]Wyze app Android Hotfix #2 - 8/8/2023 Same situation. Cam Plus Lite. Are you going to revert? I did, to app v 2.43.5. Painless, unless you lose features you need that were introduced between 2.43.5 and this hotfix.

Not sure, I just asked. SD card icon not on IPhone but is on Ipad - #11 by IEatBeans I’m on beta

Same problem. Two months now…

I know y’all are aware of the cam plus filter bug for Android, but any potential updates would be great! Edit: As of 10/15/23 the bug has resolved itself. I’m not sure if the update to the latest beta firmware 2.46.0 (b365) or not. I’m glad to see that this has been fixed. Thank you Wyze team!

What’s going on with the Pan Cam V3s not reconnecting to networks? They are completely unreliable and once they disconnect for whatever reason they never attempt to connect again until power cycled. Every single Wyze camera I have is fine except for the two Pam V3s. I’ve waited literally days to see if they’d reconnect. It’s not a networking or signal strength issue - one camera is literally three feet from the router. Multiple people are experiencing this issue and we would love a response other than the typical “reset your router”. The tech savvy amongst us have already gone through your standard “network issues, power issues, signal issues” steps. Related threads (there are more): https://forums.wyze.com/t/v3-pan-cam-offline/ https://forums.wyze.com/t/my-wyze-pan-cam-v3-keeps-disconnecting/ Edit: Some info to clarify, but there’s plenty in the linked threads: Standard Wyze Cams V1 & V3 work fine On same network, Pan V3s drop connection (which isn’t a huge problem itself, except…) Once disconnected, they NEVER reconnect - even after days Power cycling immediately causes them to reestablish network connection Applicable to cameras whether they are a few feet from router or across the house; distance irrelevant Router settings irrelevant; network type, factory reset, security type, wifi protocol, signal strength, network interference, conflicting devices - all of these have been checked, rechecked, and debunked If I were a developer here, I would be checking the current firmware - specifically the portion responsible for re-establishing a network connection when lost - and trying to determine why it isn’t actually doing so. Perhaps compare it to how a network connection is established at boot to find discrepancies. These cameras were installed in my grandmother’s house so we can keep track of her in case she falls or otherwise gets hurt. I can’t have them offline every other day until I call her and tell her to unplug them and then plug back in.
