I didn’t know it could ring the Echo / Alexa devices! This is a good “solution” to the problem I think. I have about 6 or 7 echo’s throughout the house, I forgot I could add the Wyze skill to my Alexa’s, and low and behold, now I can arrange that the doorbell additionally makes all 6 or 7 echo’s, as well as firesticks, make a noise when pushed. There’s even a longer way-around solution where you can have Alexa make an announcement when the doorbell is pressed a la “A person is at the front door” if you wanted. But I’m ok with a chime sound for now.
Ok I was admittedly upset about the same thing, my old house, now turned investment property, had a Wyze Doorbell v1 camera on it and I had 3 remote chimes around the house (basement, garage, main living area) so I could hear when somebody was at the door. For my new house I picked up the v2, figured I might as well “upgrade” but the single doorbell chime in the house doesn’t really carry throughout the entire house. So annoyed I can’t pickup a few Wyze remote chimes and have the Wyze v2 ring those in addition. I was looking to see if somebody made a wired doorbell chime that supported remote chimes, doesn’t technically need to be a “wyze” solution, as long as the wyze doorbell rang the wired chime, maybe somebody has a model that can ring additional wireless chimes at the same time.
But somebody here mentioned the Alexa thing Allow Alexa notification service when doorbell is rung and now I’m set. Thanks! Hope this works relatively without delay.
