External Chime for Doorbell V2?

Is there any plan to have an external chime for the V2 Doorbell?

I’m not aware of one. There’s a Wishlist topic for the original Doorbell chime to work with Video Doorbell v2:

Doorbell v2 support with Doorbell v1 Wyze Chimes. V1 Doorbell chimes are great, because they allow you to put a chime in your basement, backyard deck, or other areas that your typical built-in chime that comes with your house, doesn’t provide the ability to hear usually in remote areas of your home. I don’t believe this wishlist item has been submitted yet. I didn’t see clearly this was submitted yet.

You can vote for that and add your comment, but I’m not sure how useful that is for a topic that’s marked Probably Not.

There’s also a “Cameras as Chime” feature that allows Cam OG, Cam OG Telephoto, and Cam Pan v3 to be used as accessory chimes, but it’s buggy, especially with the new v3.0 app.

If you have any smart speakers or displays in your Google Home, you can use those like accessory chimes for Doorbell button presses, but this doesn’t appear to be a native Wyze-Google integration yet and generally requires a work-around, usually with a Wyze Plug.

Another Forum user posted about a clever DIY solution:

I bought a standard “ding dong” doorbell chime and a 12v AC adapter. Plugged the AC adapter wires into the doorbell and then plugged the whole thing into the Wyze Smart Plug!
Now when someone pushes the button, it makes that doorbell chime ring for a moment, turns it off and announces to the home that someone is at the door. Plus I can basically put that setup anywhere in the house there’s an outlet.
