:doorbell_v2: Capable Doorbells Should Be Available As Accessory Chimes ("Cameras as Chime")

Since Video Doorbell v2 actually makes a chime sound—the device itself makes this noise, so a user pressing the button actually hears the ding-dong! where it’s mounted—and it can be configured to use compatible Wyze Cams as chimes, this and other capable doorbell models (e.g., Duo Cam Doorbell) should have the ability to function as chimes themselves for additional doorbells.

For instance, if I have Wyze video doorbells at my home’s front and back doors, then each should be capable of ringing the other: If I’m in the backyard and someone presses the button on the front doorbell, then I’d like to be able to hear a chime in my backyard and vice versa. If I’m in the garage and someone presses a doorbell button at another entrance, then I’d like to be able to hear a chime there, as well. (I already can with the Cam OG in the garage functioning as an accessory chime, but I’m trying to make a point about doors and doorbells.) I think a fair number of Wyze users have more than one doorbell, so this seems like a feature that could be expanded via app/firmware updates to benefit the community.

As a separate but related request, I think Wyze should rename the “Cameras as Chime” feature to “Cam as Chime”. At the time of this writing, at least one Help Center article already refers to the feature with this language, even though that phrase doesn’t officially appear in the app’s UI. Wyze already uses “Cam” in many product names, so changing the name of this feature would reinforce that branding, better communicate that this is a Wyze-specific feature, and benefit from brevity (unlike this post ).

Done! Thanks for the approval. I didn’t see this covered elsewhere, so I thought I’d get it started with this one. They both seem like doable requests.
