@WyzeJasonJ Would AP-only mode be possible with Wyze Mesh (multiple routers)
@sandmist7
This should work in your setup. You would just go into your router/modem and turn off the internal router if it will allow you to do that.
@NTENNIS
I will look into this.
thanks
What I know about the Parental Controls are it will allow you to block any domain you do not want someone accessing.
I will look into trying that. Turn off its router and then Wyze would be the only router, is that what you mean?
You need to follow the directions I provided for Transparent Bridging: Connect with Wyze Mesh Router - 11/15/22 - #41 by holocron
Basically yes, @holocron gave you a link to show you how to do it.

The pic of the back of the Pro version shows a 2.5Gps WAN and a 1.0Gps WAN Port; however, the specs state both are 2.5Gps. Can you please clarify if the LAN port is 2.5Gps?

Provided the LAN port is 2.5Gps can you clarify if the wired back haul connection between multiple 6E Pro’s would be a wired 2.5Gps connection?
I’d like to add a second request to that. Specifically, I have experience porting things to Linux in general (see here) and porting devices to OpenWRT (see here)
I would love to be part of the team that gets this work done. While I can do that with nothing more than a firmware image, it would be a gigantic help to have the kernel sources you use for your shipping product.
@Smarthome4653
There is a 2.5 and a 1.0 connection. I believe the wired backhaul would be on the 1.0 port. I will try to clarify these items.
I have and am using it right now since I work remotely from home.
I am using it with all my devices, many Wyze, Multiple TV’s and Laptops, Google devices, I do not have any Alexa ones.
I have not had any issues thus far and have about 40 cams and 2 people working from home at the same time.
I do not know the cost yet?
Kyle said the limit is 10
…and if anyone has that much space to use that many, invite him over for dinner because you’re probably having something really good.
The price of the Pro shows on the Pro Page (This could be subject to change) but it does show a price.
Connect to Wyze mesh router
I have a question. I currently have an xfinity modem and an interested in the Wyze mesh router. I currently have a DC cord, 2 Ethernet cords from my 2 solar systems and the internet cable going into my modem. Will this router work?
[Mod Edit]: Your request was moved to this topic for better visibility to Wyze since it involves a question and not a request for a new product or service enhancement by Wyze.
Wifi 6E coaxial connection
Many cable providers only connect to your house using a coaxial connection. Is there any plans to release a Wifi 6E router with a coaxial connection?

You do need to connect the Wyze Router into a modem, but yes, the Wyze router would work with that modem. You would just connect an ethernet cord between the modem and the Wyze router, and then the Wyze router can distribute your internet through WiFi to the rest of the house.
No. Wyze routers require that you have a separate modem to connect them to. So the Coaxial connection is handled by the modem, then the Wyze Router connects to that with an Ethernet cable and provides the WiFi.
Some cable providers include a modem and router all in one, though they are technically separate things (the modem is needed to communicate between your ISP and your router). It would be difficult to create a modem for every kind of internet provider (Different cable companies, phone companies, Fiber companies, satellite companies) included as part of the router, and keep them all separate and less confusing for who needs which one.
In this case, Wyze lets you pick whatever Modem you want (I recommend making sure your cable modem has at least DOCSIS 3.1 and the more upstream and downstream channels the better). Then connect the Wyze Router to that.
On this modem/router you should be able to turn off the internal router and plug the Wyze Mesh Router into the modem.
