Can someone enlighten me, please?

Nope. Don’t use that repeater.

That’s helpful, but I would prefer to receive messages directed my way. I clicked
“To unsubscribe from these emails, [click here]” and then clicked " Mute all notifications for this topic, [Can someone enlighten me, please?], but it had no effect.

When logged into the forum and in this thread, you can go to the bottom of the thread and see something like this:

Select the drop-down and choose one of the other options. For example, muted to never hear from this thread again, or “Normal” if you still want to get notifications when someone replies to you or uses your call tag in this thread.

@artglick 's testiness may be due in part to his bi-system (iOS & Android) status. Perhaps if he just chose a side he’d be more affable.

I have another puzzle for you folks

The other day, to be exact on March 04, 2023 at 16:03:46 I saw some deer munching on my wife’s flower sprouts. As per instructions I activated the siren to scare the deer away and the camera went dead. Hasn’t recovered back since. No matter how many times I reboot the router or the Kasa plug that the camera is connected to, no luck. You think the camera is toast?

It would be the camera on the top left with deer still in the picture.

Wasn’t us :raccoon:
You need to string about 400 miles of good quality ISP Cable and get some snow shoes to fix you issues for good. Hope you get them back up, I like seeing deer having a good meal.

I have snow shoes, that’s how I get in and out in winter, ISP cable, not so much and I’m not planning to splurge on that

I’m just being curious if my camera gave up the ghost. At this time of the year with the amount of snow, I don’t think anyone will decide to break in. Maybe, papa bear, but I think he’s hibernating :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

They’re in your back yard now

I have no issue with them, it’s the wife that don’t want them around her flowers. Also IIwill not harm them, I leave that to @Antonius, but I expect couple stakes in return

Hey, habib, no help here, but I, too, have something odd, loosely related (very loosely.) *

I have a Wasserstein dumb PIR floodlight with a v2 mounted below inside its incorporated ‘weather house.’

When I access the v2 livestream (or SD footage) it usually turns the floodlight on. :high_brightness:

 * Hell, I’ll take a stab at it. The siren fucntion draws a lot of power and the surge broke a flawed circuit string on the power board.

Hey brother, your guess is as good as mine. I’ll find out Easter Weekend when I’m heading up north.

Increased heat signature from the camera’s processor suddenly working harder?

Sounds likely. Not a bad flaw/feature for this cam’s location, as it turns out.

I’m back and still scratching my head. I spent an hour yesterday, half watching a live stream and half SD recording.

The first half hour watching the live stream was as expected, dropped frame rates, camera going offline intermittently…

The other half hour watching the SD recording not a glitch, zilch, nada.

This leads me to believe that the live stream goes from the camera to Wyze than to my phone. The SD recording goes from camera to my phone.

I’d like to be corrected if I am wrong.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the live stream was in 360p and the SD is in SD.

It’s Wyze. I just dumped them for this kind of thing. There’s no leaving the app running on a pad expecting to be able to review them - they WILL drop sooner or later, mostly sooner. Yes the recording seems to stay intact, so it’s an issue with the streaming and the FACT they have deliberately set the connections not to retry. It’s why I am in the processing of dumping Wyze in favor of Reolink. Costs more…but it just works. I have their DESKTOP app running for about a week now and it’s STILL just working…
