The Android app sometimes has a back arrow in the upper left and sometimes it does not. When there is a back arrow then users can either use that or the Android back button/action to go to the previous screen. However, it is easy to accidentally exit the app when using the Android back button if the app back arrow is not present. To avoid this the app should display a confirmation dialog or similar to warn users that they are about to exit the app. This would avoid frustrating accidental app exits.
My 2¢ on this is that repeatedly hitting the back button (whether it’s the OS’s back button at the bottom or the app’s back button at the top) should always take the user back to the Home screen before exiting the app. Even without some sort of confirmation dialogue (which I see in other apps and occasionally get annoyed with) Home should absolutely be the last stop before the app exits or minimizes back to the phone’s/OS’s home screen.

I don’t know about iOS, but in Android and hitting the back button, the Wyze app doesn’t really exit. It just goes to the background. It’s still there.
