I understand that, but the problem is that XB7 gateway blocks Wyze live stream going out so you can’t view it outside your local network. If I were you, I would check the gateway if it is XB7 and if it is I would call Rogers and request an upgrade to XB8. If they won’t do it, then I would pick up a cheap (or not) router and put XB7 in bridge mode and use my own router. That is what I actually did both at home and at the cottage.

No one knows when Wyze will have an update and according to @WyzeJasonJ who works for Wyze, Wyze is in talks with Comcast not with Rogers. Whatever fix they might come with might only work with Comcast Xfinity routers, not with Rogers. I doubt Wyze will get into talks with Rogers
Totally true, though it is my understanding (I previously looked into the manufacturer and who decides firmware and security updates) that the security updates and firmware updates for the XB7 appear to be maintained by Comcast, even by all the other groups that use it (Rogers, etc). So, it’s likely that if Comcast does a firmware or security update, it “SHOULD” go out to all XB7’s…but like you said, you never know. The other companies could choose not to allow it…just as when Google posts a new Android update (feature, security, or other kind), some companies will delay, deny, or modify it themselves for their use cases. So it is certainly possible either way.
FYI to anyone in this Beta App test, it looks like a new beta is launching today (I’m sure they’ll make a new thread for it sometime this morning). I just updated through Google Play.
When you update, remember to check and see if the bugs you reported are fixed or still there.
I just confirmed that the V3 Zooming is fixed in this new App update that came out today (7/16/24).
V3 is fixed but not v4, still it comes zoomed in single view when smart focus is on and there is no way to zoom out.
Thank goodness my v3 can zoom again!!!

Confirmed Zoom fixed on V3. I never had an issue with Zoom on any other camera type (including V4). Zoom still working fine on both V4 cameras.

V3 zooming is not fixed for me. Neither is V4, OG, or Outdoor cam zooming.
This issue apllies ONLY to viewing of PREVIOUS events in landscape mode (for me). LIVE view always looks properly zoomed out in landscape mode.

Just confirmed that V2, Original Pan, V3, V3 Pro, V3 Pan, V4, and OG-Tele, zoom is working properly in portrait or landscape on either live view, µSD card recordings, or cloud events.

I’m just becoming aware that there may be two separate “zooming” issues…
One issue that affects V3 cams only - they can’t zoom at all.
A second issue (the one I am experiencing) that affects V3, V4, OG, and Wyze Cam Outdoor V1 cams (at least) and possibly others. The moment one turns the screen to landscape mode, the view does a little jump-zoom (zooms in just enough to obscure the Wyze logo time stamp at the bottom of the screen).
This second issue is only evident while viewing clips in LANDSCAPE mode and ONLY on the Events tab. It does not affect live view, viewing SD card recordings, or cloud recordings available on the timeline list directly below the live views of OG and V4 cams when selecting them individually. Again, only events viewed from the main Events tab, in landscape mode, have this issue.

Anyone else on Android 15 Beta with the app ver 3.0.0 b514? The Play Store down-graded me from Beta 2 back to ver 2.5.
Just wondering if it’s a Android 15 thing?
