Want to add… At home and at work I use a 43” 4k monitor and usually leave the Web Live up in the upper-right quadrant of the screen with 24 of the 40 cameras selected. (I don’t want to chew up the batteries in my 9 Battery Pro cams, nor do I want the weird aspect ratio of the two doorbell cams or to view 5 of the cams that have very static views, such as the crawl space.) I have the cameras arranged in a certain order in the phone app (Devices tab), and that is the order that Web Live uses.
I have my outside wired cameras at top, followed by inside wired cameras for watching my pets. Most of the time I have just 9 (6 full and 3 nearly full) in view in the browser window. Or 12 (6 full and 6 partial). I scroll down to whichever I’m most interested in, but most of the time I keep it on the pets. Cameras that have been scrolled off screen will eventually stop streaming, which is fine since they’re out of view and don’t need to be using the bandwidth. They will usually start streaming fairly quickly once scrolled them back in view. If I click the maximize button for a cam to make it fill the browser tab, the other cams that were in view are usually still streaming when I shrink the other cam back down.
If I change the aspect ratio of the browser window and do ctrl-minus (which shrinks the borders), I can fit all 24 cameras (all whole) in view (3x8). Surprisingly my home network (I have three APs with no 2.4GHz overlap, so using channels 1, 6, and 11) usually doesn’t have trouble handling so many streams, even when viewing them from 24 miles away at work. (I have cable internet that’s 1000/35Mbps down/up.) However, I usually only have 9 streams going at a time.
None of this is possible with the new interface. ![]()
With only about 60 posts on this thread I’d say that Wyze is probably just going to ignore us. I wonder how many cam unlimited subscriptions they have? This change will likely make most of these subscribers very unhappy. Must not be a lot of revenue here or they wouldn’t risk losing us.
There is a more active thread for feature requests for Web Live: Add More features to Wyze Web View I put a request and vote there. I’m hoping it might get a little more attention.
Also, all of my computers have now switched over to the new version. “Page one of nine” ![]()
Make that 15 pages for me. No more being able to capture all of the snow in one screenshot. And just now when I had 24 cams up on my work computer for another post (they had been going strong for a couple of hours), all but five just disconnected. I bet if I reload the page, it’s going to switch to the new interface. Ugh.
I only have two cameras and the new layout is causing me issues too. Instead of the cameras showing side by side on the overview page they show one on top of the other unless I resize the window and then maximize it again or I go to the livestream tab then back to the overview, then they show side by side like they did before. Support told me this is intended but I do not believe that to be true.
That is interesting because I am having the opposite problem, I cannot get them to appear one on top of each other (vertical column), only side by side (horizontal row). I have 6 cams however (4 on page one and 2 on page 2) so maybe that is the difference?
I use Google Chrome. I was forced to put only 4 on page one and the other 2 (cams 5 and 6) on page 2. If i could get the 2 cams on page 2 to appear in a vertical column, stacked one on top of the other, I could open 2 tabs side by side and have a semblance of all six cameras appear in a grid, 2 rows with 3 columns. This was how it appeared before. The best i can do is a 4×4 grid on page 2 in the left tab and 2 very small cams side by side on page 2 in the right tab surround by huge borders on both the top and bottom. I posted pictures of this previously. It looks ridiculous and wastes a lot of precious screen real estate. At this point I would consider getting 2 more cams just to be able to see all of the cams in LIVE View at one time in a maximized in a grid formation without huge borders wasting space.
Trust me, I feel your pain.
I am frustrated beyond words
Yes, this has killed my experience. I have my cams monitoring all day when i work in a side bar on one of my monitors. Now, no matter what cams i have on pages and ones i deselect, when i shrink the window to my side pane view, it is automatically changed to cameras i DO NOT want to view….
THIS IS WHY I HAVE THESE CAMERAS. I will NOT be reupping for the next year come Feb 28th for cams or my home security if my ability to customize my view is gone the way I need it. Really makes me mad. It was the best for me, and now I’m stuck with the less customizable options. Good chance I’m out….
It’s Feb 10 and this morning was the first time I got the new version. I can say that I very much dislike this new version where you can only see 4 camera feeds at a time and selecting to see the feed of any camera is noticeably slower than before, particularly with V4 cams. Quite disappointed.
Has anybody tried other browsers?
If I use Firefox, I still get the old interface. Of 19 cameras that show up, 16 load…three have an error and message to download Chrome (Pan v4). Due to my crappy network connect (or the Wyze Cameras not working with my network), the results are horrible…about 12 load…the others just sit there trying to load.
I tried MS Edge…and like Chrome, was the new interface. Opera?
I just had the new Web View opened. Wyze asked me to participate in a surveymonkey survey on the new web view. You can imagine what my responses were…
I was trying to use the event viewer when the survey offer popped up. Check your web app and make sure to fill out the survey if you get the offer. I’m sure everyone participating in this thread will have something really nice to say about the new viewer ![]()
Also, this event viewer has problems. Trying to pick a day on the calendar is inconvenient. I have a tiny scrolling window that only lets me see about one line of the calendar at a time. As I’ve been forced to use this viewer, I can now see that the four camera limit is only one of the problems. Old problems still remain. Often the event prieview windows are blank. You have to reload the page to populate them.
I just paid for a 1 years cam unlimited subscription. I only did this because I was enjoying the features. Mainly the Web View Portal and being able to monitor all 6 of my cams in Live View at once. I relied heavily on this all throughout the day to keep an eye on what is going on around my home in full view. I cannot do that viewing one camera at a time. They have imposed a new restriction limiting me to 4 cams or less. I no longer have the functionality I had when I purchased the plan.
I am going to contact Wyze tomorrow during business hours and request a refund. If they refuse I am going to file a charge back with my credit card company for bait and switch deceptive business practices. I am not getting the features I had when I paid for the subscription. If they want to impose new restrictions and cam limits, that is fine. But they should have been transparent about that. Telling me to suck it and deal with it is not going to work.
If I do not get my money back through Wyze or the chargeback, I will be posting videos to explain how horrible this company is. I will also smash my cams on this video to show people what junk they are. I will make sure that everyone knows what a horrible experience I had with these cams and especially Wyze. I feel sorry for anyone who spends their hard earned money on this trash.
Thanks Wyze for stealing my money, scamming me and ripping me off. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope you go out of business and go bankrupt. No company deserves it more than you.
agreed. this new interface is trash. i was viewing 6 cams at once, now only 4? [Mod Edit] Wyze

This is the last straw for me now that they destroyed
web view to only 4 at a time.
I’ve invested so much time/money into this setup
Same goes for Tiny cam pro, they destroyed
with the latest firmware update.
Will not be renewing my subscription
goodbye Wyze
I was also disappointed this morning when I saw my screen of live cameras. The new layout will not allow me to use all of my real estate on my wall monitor. It is clearly a step backwords.
I would like to know the CEO thoughts
if he as a customer went out and purchased all the latest
camera’s, floodlights, doorbells etc.
(Plus all the upgraded newest versions)
Spent hundreds of dollars plus HIS time
installing it so he could view the
property in real time all on one screen,
then come to find out some FOOL
decided to change the web view to only
4 camera’s at a time then would have to
flip screens to view the rest.
BTW:The new 4 screen view is very slow
to load has less color and freezes up
when trying to view 1 camera in full view.
Then when switching pages it takes
forever to load.
I also lost the ability to view
them all on Tiny Cam Pro with latest
firmware update.
I could go on forever
but why not give the customers
with more than 4 camera’s the option
to use the older version of web view.
I’m sure the owner is sipping an
umbrella drink somewhere right now
but I will be cancelling my sub after
this, you would think the more money rolling
in the better products and apps would be.
Peace out.
Thanks for posting this. I was loosing my mind trying to figure out what was going on. One of my computers is still running version 2.17.19 while my other computer is now running version 3.0.0.0
The new version is horrendous! PLEASE PLEASE go back to version 2.17.19!!! I can’t believe WYZE would go backwards like this. I have been a webview customer for many years now. Grrr
Exactly.
I found a link to the Web View survey: Web View Survey
Thank your for explaining how to zoom for those that do not understand it or know how. Zooming in Google Chrome can also be achieved with the keyboard using CTRL+”-” and CTRL + “+” as well.
Full screen can be activated and deactivated using the F11 key in Chrome. To refresh the page if the cams have disconnected one can hit the F5 key to reload the page.
I have mentioned zooming in or out at length in my previous posts. You mention that some people call full screen kiosk mode. Since I have used the work kiosk frequently I wanted to explain that the word kiosk and full screen are not the same thing. So that everyone is clear, “Kiosk mode” does not necessarily mean full screen. It refers to when you use a dedicated computer or device and the connected monitor (often a TV screen) in display mode only (likely in full screen). The computer and screen serves only as a dedicated monitor for viewing and not used for anything else. So if you pull up your Live view on a TV screen and it is visible all day just for viewing cams and that TV is dedicated to only viewing the Live view and nothing else, that would be considered kiosk mode, even if it wasn’t necessarily in full screen. Also, in kiosk mode, one would not necessarily want to see the Operating System task bar, panels, clock, and system tray icons for example, so that is why I point out that is “often” is used in combination with full screen.
Zooming in or out, as you pointed out, is really only beneficial now when viewing one cam in full screen. Unfortunately what you showed in your Youtube video would only be beneficial for me now if I owned 6 computers with 6 screens attached so I could see all 6 cameras in full screen.
When trying to view up to 4 cams on their “pages” or for those of us that lost the ability to monitor more than four cams, zooming is not as effective as it was before the update. This is what I used to see when zoomed in to 25% when viewing all six cams before the update:
I would pull this up in full screen on a dedicated TV and computer that was used for only monitoring these cams all day in real time, i.e. kiosk mode.
As you pointed out in your video, now the precious screen real estate is eaten up by borders. As well, when you have more than one screen of cams (more than 4 cams), zooming out to the extremes (25% or 250%-500%) no longer has the desired effect. The view changes to a view that may include or exclude cams that are not part of the page that is currently being viewed, i.e. you might see 3 cams from page one and only 2 cams from page two in a vertical column of 4 cams when you were viewing Page 1. Also during this view, the page identifier button (may say Page 1 of 2) with arrows that you click on at the top to change pages disappears and you will not be able to change pages until you zoom back to normal.
*I don’t know if this alternative “Zoomed” view is a bug or intended side effect.
